No... they wouldn't... would they? I think the NBA is idiotic, but it can't be that idiotic.

I'd really hope not. At this point im hoping for Benny Salvatore or Danny Crawford

Edit: but you know 1 of those 2 will probably get the heat game

Re: So we can bitch and moan all day there's a game

I'm sure we'll get Foster and Violet Palmer.

Re: So we can bitch and moan all day there's a game

I believe there are going to be the same refs for the whole series.

What? Why? The NBA doesn't do that, typically. What an easy way to bribe/threaten refs.

I'm guessing you don't know what you're talking about, again.

Re: So we can bitch and moan all day there's a game

Pacers Digest game thread is a must read. You think the blow ups here are bad... aint nothin' like over there.

Link?

I know what you are getting at, but they didn't make it clear. I'm pretty sure the crew stays together but rotates series. So say we get shit on by the nba and get foster and Palmer, they would then go to the GSW lac game to screw them over.

The Pacers were anointed contenders prior to the season, and have been very good for 3 years now. IMO, their fans have the right to freak out after a performance like we saw tonight.

Still epic, though.

The source is Clutchfans, so it's suspect (I'm not sure what their literacy rate is over there) but I read that Dick Bavetta and Violet Palmer aren't on the playoff roster.

Re: So we can bitch and moan all day there's a game

That's a fan blog with fewer readers than this post I'm typing right now.

Read the last sentence:

Game 2 of this series is late Monday night, and the same referees will be calling it. Expect them to receive a stern talking-to from Commissioner Silver (no pun intended).

Why would this person make it up? Everyone will know Monday night.

Ha! Go figure, Scott Foster.

It's almost like watching wrestling, when the crooked ref is hand picked by the bad guy.

Wait, it's exactly like that.

Re: So we can bitch and moan all day there's a game

Look at the Spurs game, they have Tim Duncans favorite ref of all time. Joey Crawford.

I am just happy some of you will have an excuse if we lose since its obviously not lack of defense, bench or playoff experience.

And it's certainly not that Houston officially made flopping, err "getting to the foul line" one of their offensive tentpoles, either.

Fucking foster. Shit figures. If this was in portland id expect him to be crucified

Defense doesnt matter with foster. You can have a clean block and he'll award the other team a game winning goal tend.

I remember that last game he officiated when we played at Dallas on March 7th. In the crucial last few minutes, he called a foul on Lillard when it was blatantly an offensive foul on Dallas (forget the player, I think Harris). Didn't call a foul on Dirk when Aldridge was attempting a shot, etc. In the 4th quarter, 8 fouls on us and 1 on Dallas. I don't normally blame the refs (down by 30 at one point, after all, then we came back in the 4th). But Scott Foster is the one referee who stands out to me. I wonder how much money he'll make off this one.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"NBA referee Tim Donaghy made repeated phone calls to a second referee at the same time he provided inside information to professional gamblers during the course of the 2006-2007 season, according to court documents and phone records obtained by FOXNews.com.
The records show Donaghy placed 134 calls to referee Scott Foster — more than the 126 calls Donaghy made to his bookie — between October 2006 and April 2007, the period during which he has confessed to either betting on games or passing on game information to gamblers. The majority of the phone calls lasted no more than two minutes and occurred prior to and after games Donaghy officiated and on which he admits wagering."
