Ha! Go figure, Scott Foster. It's almost like watching wrestling, when the crooked ref is hand picked by the bad guy. Wait, it's exactly like that.
Re: So we can bitch and moan all day there's a game Look at the Spurs game, they have Tim Duncans favorite ref of all time. Joey Crawford.
I am just happy some of you will have an excuse if we lose since its obviously not lack of defense, bench or playoff experience.
And it's certainly not that Houston officially made flopping, err "getting to the foul line" one of their offensive tentpoles, either.
Defense doesnt matter with foster. You can have a clean block and he'll award the other team a game winning goal tend.
Actually, I think this is good. Here's why: http://www.basketball-reference.com/referees/fostesc99r.html Look at Foster's Home vs Away in 2014, relative to Average.
I remember that last game he officiated when we played at Dallas on March 7th. In the crucial last few minutes, he called a foul on Lillard when it was blatantly an offensive foul on Dallas (forget the player, I think Harris). Didn't call a foul on Dirk when Aldridge was attempting a shot, etc. In the 4th quarter, 8 fouls on us and 1 on Dallas. I don't normally blame the refs (down by 30 at one point, after all, then we came back in the 4th). But Scott Foster is the one referee who stands out to me. I wonder how much money he'll make off this one. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "NBA referee Tim Donaghy made repeated phone calls to a second referee at the same time he provided inside information to professional gamblers during the course of the 2006-2007 season, according to court documents and phone records obtained by FOXNews.com. The records show Donaghy placed 134 calls to referee Scott Foster ā more than the 126 calls Donaghy made to his bookie ā between October 2006 and April 2007, the period during which he has confessed to either betting on games or passing on game information to gamblers. The majority of the phone calls lasted no more than two minutes and occurred prior to and after games Donaghy officiated and on which he admits wagering."
Uhhhhh, doesn't this mean the Blazers might have a better chance? If Foster has money on them, or Paul Allen slipped him some cash......
If it's nothing like the Dallas game or other games where he screwed the Blazers over, sure. Hope Allen slipped him a few thousand, lol.
The Blazers games Foster reffed this season: http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/201312070POR.html - L (DAL 8-11 FT, POR 19-24 FT) http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/201312140PHI.html - W (who cares we won by 34) http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/201402080MIN.html - W (MIN 25-34 FT, POR 29-38 FT) http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/201403070DAL.html - L (POR 15-21 FT, DAL 25-34 FT - this is the game TRob fouled out of in 19 minutes)
I'm hoping Adidas is doing the ole payola with the NBA to make sure their new guy stays on the air long time this year.
The nightmare has come true for Blazer fans: Scott Foster Bennett Salvatore Derrick Stafford Tony Brown
