$10m isn't going to bring in James, and Irving isn't a sure thing to stay in Cleveland. Portland fans on this board can't stand LMA, so why would Cleveland want to gamble on him re-signing as a centerpiece for any trade? LMA is soft and shoots jumpers. Why would Cleveland want him?
I didn't mention James in my post. You asked for a reason why Aldridge would stay there. I laid it out in my post, and your response to me had nothing to do at all with my post. If you wanna argue to argue, go to town. If you want to have a discussion, may I suggest reading what people post in response to a direct question of your own. If you don't want an answer, don't ask the fucking question.
I asked a question, and I disagree with your answer. You're writing agitated posts in response to mine lately. Why?
He can decline the extension and accept the Q. O. for next season. What will he get? ~$11m for that Q.O. and then be an UFA after the season. Come on, Nate.
If he isn't red-flagged by any team doctors I don't see why you shouldn't consider this. Embiid has the potential to be the best center in the league in a few years. Obviously that depends on his health. Multiple teams red-flagged Oden -- iirc it was Boston and Phoenix. A healthy Embiid and fillers is a no-brainer.
You asked a question, I answered. If you disagreed with my answer, the logical thing to do would post why you disagree with what I SAID. Instead, you mention James, and why would Cleveland want him. Neither of those is relevant to my post. You didn't say what you disagreed with at all. You just shifted the argument elsewhere. You asked why he would sign there. If you disagree with what I said, you didn't show it with your response.
I think it's a pipe dream for Gilbert to think James will sign there, the cap space makes no sense if you max out Irving, and LMA isn't going to re-sign if James exercises his ETO and doesn't sign with Cleveland this summer. It's not that hard to actually live in Realville, is it? You're a smart guy. Should Cleveland give up their entire future for the off chance that James signs there?
I think he's sick and tired of watching a cake bake. I agree. Which is why I think this is his core. And even if they get just one title with this core. Dont't you think they would take it?
I'm sorry but I'm not gambling a perennial AS that is always healthy for a raw, young big with injury problems. Fool me once.
Lets trade LA for #1 pick. Then when contract done in Cleveland we can just sign him as UFA. Best of both worlds haha!
LeBron, again, had nothing to do with what I said, so am really unsure why you keep mentioning him. I gave you reasons he would likely stay, and you want to steer the question elsewhere. So be it. I tried.
You over-rate LaMarcus. He's average at best on one end of the court, and a sub .500 player on the other. He's not even in the top 100 in the NBA in terms of offensive efficiency. And #1 picks have a pretty decent track record, just not with the Blazers.
