This would really make me nervous if I was cleveland. They desperately need to get it right this time around. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
Christ! He also had the same back stress fracture in HS? In his four years of organized basketball: - back stress fracture - back stress fracture - foot stress fracture Stay. The. Fuck. Away.
I have heard rumors of Cavs trading out of the number one pick for Favors and the number five from Utah. Given how Cleveland just completely flopped on their last number one, it kind of makes sense. Get a good already valuable big man who has room for growth and a chance at another high pick, which they have as much chance of picking correctly as having the number one pick. And yeah, I would stay away from Embiid unless I was a team that had two lottery picks and picked him later as a kind of late lottery flyer.
I basically wouldn't take him unless I was the 76'ers at 10 or the Magic at 12. They would both already take whoever was first on the draft board with their first selection. Drafting Embiid with a bonus lottery pick makes sense, even with health concerns.
At this point I think the risk vs reward on Embiid has him around the 5th or 6th pick. IF the Cleveland Utah trade happened I could see Cleveland taking him at 5. I really think Wiggins is the prize in this draft though, Cleveland should just take him imo.
His history is worse than I thought. All these stress fractures in a short period of time is major red flag. And that's an understatement. His body, even at his young age, is falling apart. He's Greg Oden.
All I was saying is that I could see Cleveland getting another known prospect and still getting a chance in the high lottery. I can definitely picture that happening. But, drafting Wiggins and just calling it a day is probably a wise move as well. He could turn out to be a franchise player along with Irving or turn out like a slightly better Rudy Gay. That is the big question.
Embiid is somebody else's problem! Imagine of they Cavs take him first... And andrew wiggins or Parker would be the worst picks to lure lebron...
He was an easy lottery pick at one point, with some people saying #1 overall. Then his stock plummeted after his medical red flags.
