On which he'll be able to play a lot, and will likely have the green light most, if not all, the time he's on the floor...
They had a better streaky player in Martin and supposedly the best PF in the game and they still sucked ass. Not swayed...
I can not wait to see the Rubes board about 10 games in with him. You thought we were harsh on his inconsistencies? The only thing that would have made it better is the meltdown clutchfans would have had had Mo went to Houston.
I don't think the Blazers wanted Mo back. I'd bet the new Portland stats nerds didn't like his analytics.
And hence, the reason why his stats and impact will be inflated, which could make his next contract more lucrative...
Perhaps Mo is just going to a team like the T'Wolves for a year in order to get some extended playing time so that it might lead to a bigger contract.
http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/234483/Wolves-Narrow-Kevin-Love-Trade-Talks-Down-To-Cavaliers The Minnesota Timberwolves are currently engaged in serious Kevin Love talks with only the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Golden State Warriors and Chicago Bulls have previously been in touch with the Wolves on a trade, but their respective offers aren't as competitive. The Bulls are pessimistic about their chances and aren't inclined to significantly alter the construction of their team. Andrew Wiggins is not eligible to be dealt until Aug. 23 after signing his rookie contract last week, but numerous league insiders expect a trade to be a matter of when instead of if.
Its hard not to make them the favorites with the only top two teams in the east taking huge steps backwards. I like them with love more then the Bulls especially without seeing Rose in a few NBA games.
Final 4 teams in the west last year SA, OKC, LAC, POR Duncan, Durant, Westbrook, Griffin, Paul, Lillard, Aldridge Fair to say those players are the reason those teams were so successful? All high lottery picks Paul was traded to the Clips, of course, but traded 4 lottery picks for him The "weakness" comes from missing on picks, not the strategy of building through the picks
I understand your position on building a championship team through the draft . . . but the Wizards and the Cavs that you used are bad examples of that, IMO.
Really? I don't think Lebron would have ever signed as a FA there had he not been drafted by them in the first place, and they are trading Wiggins and Bennett for Love, who are both #1 picks and pairing he and James with Irving, Thompson and Soupy.....all high picks Wall was #1, Beal was #4. Probably their two best players.
I agree with the Cavs situation in that if you can get a few #1 picks including a home town boy who is the best player on the planet, then building through the draft is a great idea. Wiz I don't see as anything special. But I thought the debate was do you tank to build through the draft, which I think is a bad idea in most circumstances (maybe not for Indy who has a superstar, hopefully still is, waiting in the wings), but I understand you think tanking is a good idea so you can get a better draft pick.
I see both sides, honestly. While I think small market, non glamour city teams have to build through the draft to exceed past good, in today's NBA, I see the risks as well, As a fan, I'd rather lose and take my chances than be safe and lose umpteen years in a row in the first round
