So is this where like the trayvon martin discussions on here, it almost becomes acceptable that a kid was killed because he isn't a sweet 12 year old like depicted by some?

No, not all. He should go to jail, not be dead.

Apparently the cop didn't know he was a suspect. According to the cop he was blocking traffic when the cop stopped him. Michael probably though the cop knew what he did, so he acted different than an innocent man would. The cop overreacted as well and somehow ended up shooting him.

I apologize, didn't mean that to come across the way it probably could or did as attacking you. Just have started seeing info about him leak out in a similar fashion to the trayvon case, in a way where people seemed to be justifying the killing of someone.

I think I understand what you mean. It seems the guy is a criminal, but criminals should go to jail, not the morgue. But if you watch the video, his attitude with the store clerk makes one question his attitude with a cop immediately after.

I know he's innocent until proven guilty, but did you look at the images I provided? It's really damning.

I don't think he has technically been convicted of a robbery, but no one is denying that it is him in the video and it occurred earlier that day.

BTW- reading some of those posts it looks like Oden has been convicted of battery . . .

You do know why Martin got killed? Two very big reasons.

    1. He was living in a neighborhood with a Neighborhood Watch organization, we have one where I live now. They work pretty good but a big reason they work is, the people watching know the people that live in the neighborhood. New comers need to be introduced. Travon's daddy did not make it known to the neighborhood watch that his son lived there.

    2. Travon's father did not make it clear to the lad that you do not go "whup ass" on the neighborhood watch.

    A total failure to communicate.

Wow! How many time does this story need to be told???

Big black kid goes in and robs a little (stature) Korean shop keeper, intimidates the shit out of the shop keeper. Now he feels big and bad, king of his domain. Goes out and fucks with a cop probably about half his size, and gets is ass shot.

Daddy failed to teach the lad some very necessary lessons. Don't go scaring the shit out of a little guys with a gun, you might just get shot. Cops have guns son, don't be screwing with them.

Another total failure to communicate. I sort of thought Barrack Obama would start doing some of this sort of communication, but he didn't He punted, punted on first down without running a play.

Shot was fired in the police car from one of the reports I saw and the officer was treated for injuries. It sounds like a good case of self defense. Excessive self defense, I know he was a big dude but 8 shots is a lot. I certainly based on what I saw don't feel bad about what happened.

Hey DL! Not sure how long it will be before I offend the hell out of someone but ...
You were right about my take on what I said that got me under scrutiny. Sly's take and perhaps
Minsterel too would have never entered my mind.

Sounds like maybe the first couple were, for sure. And then you just execute a guy in the middle of the street. I think he went above and beyond self defense.
