You doubt Lindgren's capacity to K a lot of batters?
Carpenter is a Shawn Kelly clone......and Girard - not Cashman - is in the process of turning Eovaldi into a 5 and fly pitcher. The kid has a sound arm, pitched almost 200 innings last year.....why couldn't Teflon Joe send him out for the 6th inning with 100 pitches under his belt.....give him either 15 more pitches or finish the inning, which ever came first. For crissakes!

...that's not what I was laughing at, genius.

3 series = 3 loses. I waited 6 months for this bullshit.

Get lead, lose lead, threaten late, die. Though Eovaldi was shaky but he ended up OK!

I think Nathan could of pitch thru the sixth with a limit of 300 Pitches, whichever came first. Wow!

Easy to say after the first three series of the season.
Of course Prado and Phelps would've had this team in first place by now.

lol

...uhhh, it was easy to say before the season began, and it was said.

...don't know why you keep irrelevantly bringing up Prado and Phelps. What do they have to do with this?...oh, I forgot, you turn every topic into your little misguided agenda du jour, regardless of the current subject matter.

It's just extended mediocrity until contracts expire and prospects hopefully come up and get us in the right direction.

...Eovaldi needs to be more efficient with his pitches. He's thrown 195 pitches in only 10.1 innings.

Throws too many sliders. Needs to get the heater over the plate more often and then mix in the breaking balls.

And YOU always seem to have a need to constantly remind us the Grim Reaper is right around the corner.

Very anxious to be proven right?
Well I see this team showing some offensive life and the biggest, most scorned SP (CC) just went 7IP, 7H, 7K, 1 BB, 4 ER in his 2nd start of the season vs a good hitting team in a good hitters park. (Balt)

No, it's certainly not CY Young-like.....but not bad for a #3 starter, for now.

...^^^ yeah, if he wasn't wasting so many pitches he might have been around for the 6th and 7th innings instead of having the BP blow it.

...seek help, no seriously, do us all a favor and find a good therapist.

...being proven right has nothing to do with it...I'd rather see the team I follow at least be competitive...but they're simply not a very good team...something that has been pointed out many times by many people well before the season began.

...would you care to count how many people other than myself who have pointed out their displeasure with this team in this thread alone?

So I'm guessing there won't be a thread titled...."Through 9...."

...^^^I think what tote meant to ask is; "So I'm guessing there won't be a thread titled...."After 9 games....""

...lmao...that made my day.

...whenever I hear "ja wohl " I think of Sergeant Schultz on Hogan's Heroes.

Hogan's Heroes:

a true American Classic, that and Mash, as much I enjoyed "12 O'clock High" (which has new meanings these days). "Combat" was pretty good too......

Hell, I never missed a "Sea-Hunt" show either......

Lloyd Bridges, still one of my favorite actors, more as a Comedian ie, "Airplane"........

Lloyd some of the best lines, and Character in that movie, other than Jabbar's "Tell your Daddy to fly this Airplane".

McCroskey quotes:

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue.
Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit amphetamines
Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit smoking.
Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit drinking.

Hell the entire dialogue in Airplane was all Classic.......!!!

[repeated lines]

Steve McCroskey: Johnny, how 'bout some more coffee?

Johnny: No, thanks!
