Tell Boyle to not even show up on Saturday. Guy is useless and there's no way I play him over Hunwick. Dude is super soft. I'd bury him next year too until he decided to take a trade or retire.

easy to say what he "should have done", but in reality pinning against the boards always results in seconds being taken away. It would have been the case again if not for that hit, which i think was illegal.

Why was boyle on the ice in the first place? Bad job by AV there.

I have been a guy who hasn't killed Boyle much this season, but I am just about done with him now. At this point Hunwick is the better option IMO. Boyle is useless now.

Not that you would expect a loss like that but you put yourself in that position by constantly playing with no margin for error. I mean yes they beat the Pens in five but the four wins were all by one goal with two of the wins coming in OT. Tonight was just about to go to another OT before that stunner.

Yes, Al they did all give up on the play after Boyle lost the puck. Stepan and Mcdonagh were clueless.

That's exactly it. You are not getting a penalty call there. And the team stopped playing thinking OT. Just a bad play all around. Starting with Boyle standing there.

In my opinion though you're not going to have a long run playing every game with no margin for error.

i just can't criticize Boyle for that play. If you move the puck you risk turnover, bad bounce, etc, so holding it against the boards is not a bad play. If he's not train wrecked by the Cap player the game is over.

Yeah, Stepan was a total no show as well.

Outside of that finish I really thought the Rangers played well tonight. That makes this even more frustrating.

I think we all need to say this team is really going to struggle to score. We have seen enough playoff games now to see it. D and Hank same as always.

We'll see how they come out Saturday. Could be on fire knowing a loss and we are almost done. Or could be really down getting beat like that. Not sure what to expect.

To me I just fire it around and go from there. But no doubt the whole team stopping was just as bad Al, or at least close to it, I agree.

He made the safe play... He just didn't get any support... And let's be frank... Hank needs to make that save

Boyle is an easy target there. Mcdonagh had the first chance to get the puck out even before Boyle went to the boards with the puck.

You saying you are not concerned doesn't mean much Al. You are the biggest homer going. And I don't say that in a bad way at all. It could be 99-0 with 6 minutes left and you will be like we got this...LOL.

I wouldn't say I am concerned because we lost, I thought we played well. I am a little concerned with how we lost, does it affect us in game 2? And now we simply must win game 2.

So I am not concerned, but I am a bit nervous. Caps are good and this will not be an easy series. That's why I felt 7.
