<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>8th January, 2007 - 4:38 pm Atlanta Journal Constitution - Sekou Smith of the Atlanta Journal Constitution is reporting that the Atlanta Hawks , Portland Trailblazers, and Washington Wizards are discussing a multi-player trade. The rumored deal would have the Blazers sending Jamaal Magloire to the Wizards who would send Brendan Haywood and Jarvis Hayes to the Hawks while they send Lorenzon Wright, Salim Stoudemire, and Esteban Batista to the Blazers</div> -RealGM.com I was very surprised. Although this is a rumor I would not mind this happening. Jarvis has not done anything this year, all jarvis is really good for are pretty misses, and Magloire is a better fit for us Wiz than Haywood. Although this does hurt are already short bench this could benefit the Wizards by finally getting a big man who is dominant. Although you can argue that Haywood has gotten better as of late, I think that we'll need to take this step up if we want to continue to improve in becoming championship contendors.
The bench is thin enough as it is, let alone trying to give away Haywood who has been dominate since starting and Hayes who HOPEFULLY can get it going at least hitting his wide open jumpers. I don't see why'd they make the trade anyway, all it's going to do is hurt their chances in making the Eastern conference finals because Haywood has been playing a lot better than Magloire. I know that Magloire's contract is up this summer and it'll give us 8 mill, but it's still not taking the risk with what you have right now.
I hate Haywood, so anyone else starting at center for the Wizards is fine by me plus I actually think Magloir may do good on the Wizards since there a winning team and Magloire hasen't been ona good team (bucks (not that good), blazers, hornets) and well quite frankly I think he would be a good fit for the wizards and he may return to all star form *cough* the wizards need a good big man, which they have been missing for a long time.

Someone like Amare, that fits into our system, only reason I'd consider magloire would be to sign more after his contract expires.
He's still better than Haywood even though he can't run the floor as well as him. Mabye it's cause I hate Haywood but I wouldn't rule Magloire out as being better in with the Wizards than him also don't forget Magloire has a lot of upsides to his game, well a few. :dribble:
NOOOO. Haywood is just getting in his own. If we are ONLY getting 1 player, but losing Hayes AND Haywood, I don't want it
We get raped so badly in this trade, it's not even funny. Haywood is 5 times better than Magloire alone and throwing in Hayes just makes it worse. Portland runs away with this. (My post from the other thread in General NBA)
I'm sorry, but Jamaal Magloire does nothing except rebound the basketball. Thats all he does, he doesn't block shots or play tough defense, he has an average at best offensive game and he's lazy running the floor. I'm sorry but I don't think he's any better than Haywood at all. Ask any Bucks fan and they will tell you. All this guy does is pad is rebounding numbers. Jamaal Magloire has no upside, he's been the same player for 4 years.
Haywood is just coming on and has a much better upside than Magloire. There has got to be more to this trade, I can't see the Wizards organization doing this just for Magloire.
Haywood will return to the near bottom of the bench once Etan Thomas returns and haywood numbers will slowly decrease then. I just don't see Haywood starting for the wizard and well ethan is great for them but to he isn't the best to play the center position. Wizards need a center and a good one weather it's Jamaal Magloire or someone else to fill that position and it would be good if the Wizards don't give up much in the trade while getting somthing good in return.

Brendan Haywood is just a better basketball player, period.
I still think Magloire is better than what the Wizards currently have at the 5. He's only 28 or so, there's always room for improvment in different arears of his game.

He has not improved in the last 4 seasons, he is what he is.
Sorry I can't edit my posts* my internet is real slow today.Magloire is stronger than most centers :dribble:, iv'e watched him play a few times and well I don't know how good his offense it but he's better than Haywood ... im sticking with that.
There's always room from improvement, Haywood to me looks like a very limited center for that id take Magloire over him in the long run, I just see more in him though he has a lot of discourging things in his game.

You've rambled on this whole page saying the same thing. Jamaal Magloire is lazy, runs the floor like his mother in-law is at the other end...has a sloppy and inneffective offensive game, is a average at best shotblocker, plays lazy defense, isn't a good passer or ball handler... Brendan Haywood is a good shotblocker, good rebounder, plays harder and is more of a presense inside from the few times I've watched him.
how many fight's has Haywood got into with his teammates over the years ? Okay mabye im saying Magloire over Haywood because I despise Haywood so much, plus id just rather see Magloire out of portland, that's all.guess you were right.

Biggest ass in basketball.
