^^^^as Trashman ponders trading Gardner........... Let's face it, the new face of the Yankees is Sanchez. Gardner's Yankee days are past history. He's not what you would call the Yankee future. Same goes for Headley and Ellsbury. As for Trashman........ well, the guy never thinks outside the box. The operative word is thinks!
Cashman said they were looking into acquiring Jose Quintana from the White Sox but they want 2 Top Prospects. Which ones I don't know but I doubt it will even happen.
You know, Lillie, if Cashman had not had Miller & Chapman, and dealt them for a king's ransom....... really where would the future Yankee talent be? I do not think he would start to trade those pieces and help the White Sox farm system. Then again he's had considerable trouble obtaining quality pitching through the draft. The guy plays Russian roulette one too many times. Really, I think it's a game to him.
Honestly Cage, I am so sick of the Cashman/Girardi duo. They better not re-sign either one of them. It's time for the Youth Movement and new Management to shake this team up. This Shit every year is getting real old.
You Know Ron you are probably right. I hope all of those Idiots fawning over the Red Sox as Division Leaders are wrong and the Pink Hatters fall on their faces again.
...and that's precisely why I don't/won't give Cashman a pass. The very reason why he decided to trade Miller, Chapman, and Beltran for young talent was because Cashman was the one who put us in this mess in the first place. ...the last 3-4 years of mediocrity were born out of his poor decision making and inane contracts from the past.
...White Sox wanted Luis Severino, Jorge Mateo and Clint Frazier in return for Jose Quintana...uhhhhh, No. ...Quintana would be a great addition but that's way too high of a price.
Exactly. Cash man was able to make lemonade out of lemons, but he doesn't get a pass for buying a 7-8-9 trio and expecting to lead after 6 innings with a lineup saddled with a collection of albatrosses. Cashman made the mess because he played the spend the farm and let it ride strategy his entire tenure as GM.
those new 20 $$$S bills... missing the Maj. Gen. of the 'Creek Campaign', amongst many other incredible things in his life...
Jon Heyman @JonHeyman 2h2 hours ago Yanks did show interest in Quintana (@jonmorosi on it) but don't want to part w/frazier or Torres so likely a non-starter 30 replies71 retweets123 likes Yeah, like that was ever happening. Bwahahahahahahahahahahah
Yeah Mel, didn't think Cashman would be that stupid. I do agree though they could use another Starter. We will have to see how CC, Crooked Cap, and Severino do in Spring Training. I'm sure Tanaka will be fine.
I'm beginning to wonder what Plan Cashman is working too this yr.; perhaps, it's the "fly by the seat of your pants"- Plan,.... Cashman will have a 'king of the mountain' competition in ST; to determine who can pitch or should....
Whatever cashmere does he needs to hold the assets he got last trade deadline and keep the kids. Just keep moving the gardners, headleys and ellsburys for young pitching he can till a-rod and cc's contract off the books next year and then have youth and supplement that with a couple of free agent signings. Will be competitive although not championship caliber in 2017 as kids start to make their mark and get ready for 2018 when we should be a legit contender again. I for one am looking forward to watching guys like bird, sanchez judge. austin and any other young kids getting their feet wet next year.
Indians acquire Edwin Encarnacion with a 3 Year 60 Mill. Contract plus an Option as per Ken Rosenthal.
