Well, get ready the Boston Massacre part 2PP isnt all what you called him, but I do think Boston should trade him...as much as Boston fans want to say it, they arent going to be contenders when PP is still in prime..trade him now and get a Randy Foye and some picks....

That makes absolutely no sense then, do you realize that Paul Pierce hasn't played the past 5 games? I mean first of all, everything you said about him was wrong, but also, the timing of this thread was ridiculously horrible.

On topic, the only way we trade Paul Pierce is if he asks for a trade.

If you guys didn't have Paul Pierce you're average roster age would be like 5 years old. lol. Who would you rely on for veteran presence? Theo Ratliff? Point is - young teams need experience veterans to lead the team.

clovercelts... you should go talk to Danny Ainge and persuade him to trade Pierce to the Sixers in return for Billy King... we'll also throw in our owner Ed Snider!

With all these young guys on the Celtics roster at this point they need a leader to give them advise and keep them on check for a hopeful run to get into the playoffs next year by Boston. When the game comes down to the wire, they will go to Pierce until Durant (If the Celtics do get him) spends more time in the NBA and gets more used to playing in the clutch situations. Pierce has fought with injuries all year, you can't judge this year as his entire career which has had many great moments.

because we have 8 players on the injured reserve Paul being one of them.....how many games has he played? 47? He only played about 30 before getting injuredThey played .500 ball before he went down and were on a nice 5-game winning streakYou're telling me the failure of this season is his fault?No..it's been inexperience, injuries, poor coaching and inexperiencePaul has barely played...and we're what 3-26? without him and 20-27 with him?..sure we aren't great but thats considerabily better considering he was out of shape for 21 of those 47 games he actually played..and considering the rest of the team has had injury problems and we haven't surrounded him with solid veterans..DannyHow many times has this guy stuck his neck out for this team? How many teams has this guy hit the game winning shot for this team since he's been here? Were you f*cking watching? How many times has he complained publically even though Ainge destroyed a playoff-caliber team? Once? this year when we were eliminated from the playoffs months before the season ended? You're telling me that he isn't valuable to this team?EDIT: 5 YEARS? 5 YEARS? Since they made the ECF? That's when you jumped on the bandwagon and now your hating? I've been watching the Celtics since I was 3 years old...don't try to act like your a true fan and then bash the team and player I love and have watched all my life

...this is why I hate public forums at timesplease do not make a comment on a player if haven't watched them play, at least, I mean at least 10 times, and I am not talking about sports center highlights, I mean watch them play a whole damn game, pierce is the definition of an underrated player, w/o him, I dont know if the celtics win a game this season and if they do, I doubt they win more then 10, they lost 14-15 or more straight when he didnt play and did not break the streak until he came back, but yet you say hes the one that has been playing badly, im sorry, but if players like kobe, pierce, and joe johnson never passed the ball in a game, and did nothing but shoot all game, they should never be questioned because of the lack of consistency they get from players around them, and fyi pierce never has been a smooth player, his style has always be uncoventional, but it gets the job done and thats all that matters, and its very hard to look very clean while you play when your doubled and tripled team because your the main and sometimes only offensive threat

I can't stand it when dudes start blaming players for being injured. Since when could they help it? If he's injury prone did he have anything to do with it? Can I blame you for having to wear glasses or doing some ritual before a game? Some players just get injured, seriously. Leave them alone, it's not their fault and you don't need to bash them for something they can't help.
