    28. San Antonio Spurs/Tiago Splitter/Forward/Brazil 33. San Antonio Spurs/Marcus Williams/Forward/Arizona 58. San Antonio Spurs/Giorgos Printezis/ Forward/GreeceThe Spurs actually had a better than decent draft here and it could show in years to come, what does everyone else think of it?

The Spurs did pretty good. Splitter is a nice talent who I had going at 16. Marcus Williams was pretty high for a while, but his stock just seemed to drop fast around the last week. Spurs seemed to have picked a few steals possibly.

The Spurs had a great draft IMO....I had never heard of the #58 pick, but I have heard great things about Marcus Williams (I dont recall ever watching him play), and Tiago Splitter has been high in all of the mock drafts for the past few years. They did very well this year.

we traded that dude we drafted at 58I think it was a horrible draft, this draft and stash sh*t is getting gay, it's worked once with manu....F*ck the future, we need to focus on now, tim doesn't have much longer....... rc is a f*cking bum of a gm, we let the wrong guy go, presti should have been promoted and this gay looking dude should have left.........he's had 2 picks that have panned out, the rest are bitcheswe'll never see scola or any of the other bums we've drafted the last few yearssplitter is a bi*ch who is scola's back up so F*ck this dude, what a waste of a draft pickand williams doesn't fit, we need three point shooters and people with good work ethic not a dude that most sites have nothing good to say about himI don't get why we even bother drafting, we draft a bunch of pussy ass foreigners when there's just as good americans here ready to contribute not have to wait till their 28 to be decent........F*ck I hate rcbtw: I'll probably change my mind in a few days I just hate that we pass on the likes of alondo tucker for this bum ass brazilian dude

I thought it was a very good draft for the Spurs considering the spots they had to draft at, and what they had to work with. Splitter from what the draft analysts think, will be a solid player in the future, an with the Spurs having a big man rotation pretty well set right now, Splitter can be waiting for Horry to retire shortly, while gaining experience behind the big men the Spurs have right now. Marcus Williams all the way at 33 was outstanding. I disagree that the Spurs needed a three point shooter here Koopa. With Bowen, Ginobili, Horry, Brent Barry, and Finley they have more than enough three point shooters for the time being. Now they have someone on the wings that can create plays, and open up scoring for more himself and others should Williams get into the game with this team. It was a good pickup in my opinion. The last guy is foreign, so if he makes the team, I'm sure he will add to their line of flopping hustlers on this team, that play with alot of energy.

They got some pretty good steals in Tiago and a lot of talent in Marcus Williams. I knew they'd take Splitter because they LOVE internation players. Then they get a decent G/F to backup Bruce Bowen.

I just don't want a dude from arizona cause sean elliot never shuts the F*ck up about any player from there loland that other dude we drafted got traded to the raptors

Reading some Spurs fan thoughts on the draft, it was hit or miss for some. Most think Marcus Williams does not fit the mold of a Spurs player. Also, feel that one of Splitter or Scola better come over. Although, last thing I saw was Tau Ceramica possibly trying to sign Splitter to a one year deal for this upcoming season. Last guy was an obvious stash overseas. So it's a hit if Splitter comes over and plays. Because fans aren't high on Marcus.

splittler is already signed, he has a big buy out so he won't be here next year, then after next season his buyout is only a million bucks so he'll be here thenand F*ck scola, he's overrated and already old, F*ck the long hair fruitand that other dude was traded to the raptors

I dont mind the spurs picks but I wish that they would have drafted Alondo Tucker with the 28th pick. He is a decent defender and can score pretty well. Oh well.

Their draft of Splitter may work out well. The Spurs need to get younger but do not have many open roster slots or minutes available at the moment. They already have difficulty working in some of their younger talent on the roster like Matt Bonner and James White. But after next year most of the contracts will expire and the Spurs will have a LOT of spots available. Maybe at that point they will bring over all the prior draft picks who have been playing over-seas. At least over-seas the Spurs' prospects are getting significant playing time.

That's why he is on your team, he is the three point shooter from the bench to help space the floor. To go along with that he took 287 three pointers this year, one more than Michael Finley took all year, and shot them at 44% for the year. That is an oustanding shooting percentage, one of the top 3 in the league for this past year.

He hit 3 big threes off of the bench and they were huge because it was such a low scoring game. Without him in game 3, we definitely would have lost.
