    4 Black soldiers harassed by IHOP patron

    When four Black soldiers from Fort Belvoir, Virginia, went to lunch at an off-post IHOP April 19, they were expecting to have a quiet meal and some conversation before returning to work.

    It didn’t quite work out that way.

    An unidentified white woman offered cash to pay for their meals, but returned shortly after to take the money back. She then began harassing them, as well as other patrons and restaurant workers.

    One of the soldiers, all of whom remain unnamed, filmed the incident and uploaded it to TikTok, and Fort Belvoir officials are now investigating.

    “She offered to pay for their meal, which is not uncommon when people meet military personnel, it’s a gesture as a way to thank them for their service,” said Joe Richard, director of public affairs for Fort Belvoir, in a statement to Military Times. “She placed $30 on their table.”

    Moments later, however, she took $24 back, leaving just $6 on the table as she exited, Richard noted. Shortly thereafter, she returned to the restaurant and began harassing the four of them, claiming that they had stolen her money.

    “You guys are … shitbags,” she said.

    The woman then sat down in the booth, blocking one of the soldiers from moving.

    “She became antagonistic, claiming the soldiers had taken her money and directed racially charged language at the soldiers,” Richard said.

    They politely asked her to please leave, but she refused. The soldier stuck in the booth climbed over it to extricate himself.

    “Are you the thin blue line, are you BLM, are you antifa?” the woman yelled as they gathered their leftovers.

    An unnamed patron, purported to be an Air Force veteran in the TikTok video, attempted to intervene, asking the woman to leave. She then confronted him, spewing obscenities.

    “Is this your restaurant? she said. “Motherfucker, I will fucking drop you. You wanna go? You wanna go?”

    The four soldiers left the IHOP quietly, returned to Fort Belvoir and reported the incident to their chain of command and the garrison.

    The garrison is investigating and the identities of the soldiers have not been released at the time of this writing.

    If you're intention is to say that Representative Waters should have waited until a verdict is read out loud then you are right.

    If you watched the video, she is saying to do the same thing to Trump supporters that this white woman did to the black soldiers. Both (the IHOP woman and Waters) are completely unhinged from what I can see and read.

    If the left starts normalizing harassing people they don't like, they don't disagree with, etc., the right will be more than happy to respond in kind as well. BLM and Antifa has been harassing diners during their marches the past few months (at the direction of Rep Maxine Waters), even getting into altercations, forcing them to raise their fist, and all kinds of other bullshit.

    All fucking crazies, both sides.

    Just listening to the words out of her mouth ... she's borderline (and I'm being generous to her here) calling for violence against other people that don't follow along with the same beliefs as her. That's a recipe for disaster.

    Please tell me specifically what Congresswoman Waters said is equivalent to this woman approaching total strangers in public and denouncing them for assumptions based on their skin color. Also please cite her specific calls for violence. Be exact.

    Again I said borderline but if you can't read between the lines than I can't really help you. If you don't think "get more confrontational" is teetering on calling for violence, then what does? Did Trump tell his supporters to "Stand down and stand by" and the left loses their minds. I don't condone either of these politicians and what they said, but again the hypocrisy of both sides knows no bounds.

    Congresswoman Waters explained exactly what she meant by get more confrontational. Check it out. And she didn't approach a group of white soldiers in a restaurant and curse them out, assuming they were KKK because they are white.

    It's amazing that humans can listen to the same exact words but hear different things ... all comes down to perspective and preconceived notions I guess.
