Best case for everyone involved would be for the Blazers to contact Wheels and handle it.

Remember Duck? Kevin Duckworth battled weight issues during playing days. The more people attacked him, the more unhappy he was and the more he ate. Vicious circle. But at least playing basketball kept things under some control. After he retired he became frighteningly huge. Then his girlfriend got pregnant. He said if he was going to be a father he needed to stay alive. Fortunately he still had money. Checked into inpatient program, then continued as outpatient. It was working, weight coming off. The child was stillborn. Duck spiraled into deep depression and literally ate himself to death. Tragic.
Hope Wheels has a better fate.

If one of our local news shows did a story about this I'm sure the donations would skyrocket.

There are a number of factors that can contribute to weight gain. I know multiple women diagnosed with PCOS, which causes a hormonal imbalance and can make it nearly impossible to lose weight, no matter what one does. You can go on a strict diet, exercise, cut calories, etc, and then the body goes into survival mode and burns healthy stores and one might still gain weight.

It’s not always as simple as diet and exercise.

Kudos Sly. This should be the only thing we're saying about this. Get better. Contribute to the go fund me.

Wheels gofundme is showing up on MSN's homepage now which is good to see with a big article and photo of him.......I'm sure Terry Stotts and Mike Rice and lots of Wheels friends will help him out...Dame as well. Dame's made half a billion dollars and I think he could make a dent in that cause. Same with Jody although he was fired under her watch. Wheels last interview was with Stotts after he'd been let go.

Replacing a high fat american diet with sugar was a criminal mistake by the FDA.

Yep. If you listen to it, they were trying to fatten rats up on a high fat diet and it wasn't working fast enough to make a difference.

At some point a rat (rats are typically VERY cautious about new food) was placed on a researcher's desk who had a bowl of fruit loops sitting there. The rat B-lined to the cereal and dug right in.

After that they just started putting junk food in the rat cages and they blew up like blimps and stopped eating their healthy whole grain pellets all together.

Large swaths of our government are controlled by corporations. The FDA, EPA and others are some of the most controlled.
