I'm really hoping we can get some value by trading LOL and SMH... I mean I'd be OK with keeping SMH but LOL really has to go.
I don't know that the Blazers have a good enough package for Brown or if Boston would want to move away from him and Tatum together. I guess here's to hoping they don't win the championship because if they do, he's not going anywhere.
He's an expiring contract and I don't think he wants to stay in Boston (Based on his public comments). There's enough chatter around the league that Brown could want out. Too much smoke in that direction. Boston would be dumb not to at least listen to calls.
If we can get him, I'm all for it. Just seems a bit unrealistic...him being a free agent and supposedly wanting out couldn't hurt if true.
Ant gets you what CJ got. So you're really hoping the picks get you the star. And in combination, they won't.
Good lineup, what about the bench though? Who is going to be there when Nurk gets hurt? I also seriously question how good that team would be defensively.
It depends what Jaylen wants, and where Jaylen indicates he'd be willing to re-sign. If he was already on a 3-4 year deal, I would agree. Because of the extension rules, anyone trading for Jaylen NEEDS to know he's willing to re-sign, because he's going to hit UFA no matter what.
Under the circumstances, it could. Brown could essentially force his way to Portland. Which is a whole other can of worms, but a top 5 pick in this draft is solid value. Guess it also depends how the Celtics value the pick.
I think he's a super-inexperienced GM that has a lot of micro-management happening by Vulcan. That makes him a bad GM. 'I'm still learning' is something I want to hear from my 19yo future star players, not my GMs or my coaches. What we think doesn't really matter, so I'm not sure what you're getting at here. I'm certainly not letting Cronin off the hook, just reminding y'all of what commonly happens in negotiations. Remember when Portland's supposed pursuit of Simmons with CJ was repeatedly countered by Morey with 'we want Dame, not CJ?' I'd imagine something similar will happen this summer with Shaedon Sharpe. That's not excusing Cronin—that's just going to be a thing.
Disagree. Ant is younger and has already done more than CJ has done at a younger age. His value is higher than when we sold CJ.
Day 1? No. But you're in the mix to compete. You'll need to get a good cast around this foundation but I think this would be really good. Would probably prefer to move on from Nurk and go in a more mobile direction.
