Time to go young look at the Thunder. Its about time we got some value for a player. Lillard is at probably his best value this year. He is one injury away from being an anchor in the salary cap
5-10 more years of kicking the can down the road? I'm not married to either direction. Neither, under the current setup, seem likely to produce championship results. Slight edge that trading Dame increases the odds of a championship at the end of the decade. Also a real good chance that trading Dame results in us worse outcomes than we've been previously experiencing. I'm not a "championship or bust" guy, so I can be ok with fielding good teams that would need to get a lucky break to make the finals. A couple more seasons like we just had would get real tiresome.
I'm ready for the Shaedon Sharp era to begin! (Truth be told it began the moment they shut down Dame for the season.)
Nice to see you have time to post on other matters in between coming up with delusional trades for Mikal Bridges
I've actually convinced myself that it would bad for us to get Wemby because there's no way that somebody that tall could have a relatively injury-free career. Plus we did pretty well with the #7 pick in a worse draft.
I was in a history class with Kareem at UCLA. He was pretty thin would you have taken a chance on him.
For those voting “Get something done” who can we add that will make us a contender? How many would we need to add? What will we be left with? If we don’t compete and Dame asks out is his value less after another season? A season more than likely not as good as this one? This isn’t meant to be combative. Just legitimately asking
Holy cow - now they study YOU in history. Back then they hadn't invented half the injuries they have now, so people could be skinny, play in Chuck Taylors and average 40+ mpg over 82 games.
To the end of my days I will not understand the Thread Police. Do they cut down an acre of rainforest for every thread?
My fear is that we're going to pull another Jerami Grant. He might just leave for nothing this summer. We used a pick on him. I'm scared we go get someone who doesn't work out and then have to trade them and Dame and now we're REALLY back at square one because we dealt our pick and maybe even Sharpe.
The Blazers were the seventh youngest team in the NBA going into this year. After the trade deadline , they got younger. Time to add experience to the experiment. Enough of Romper Room.
Worse Draft? Go back and look. The 2022 NBA Draft will probably go down as one of the best, when it's all said and done.
That draft is looking amazing, for sure. I looked at both, counted out the "Who" guys. 2018 had 28 "who", 2022 had 32 "who". Now obviously 2018 has had more time to prove their worth. 2022 could be similar if Players like Sharpe end up being generational. It's too early to tell. But right now you have to give the edge to 2018. But in 5 years, 2022 might catch up.
