My generation has done plenty to fuck up society but you need to understand that my generation also instilled the civil rights movement that is aimed at protecting your freedoms and choices....just because the Republican party has gone 1950s McCarthy fascist doesn't give you the right to ignore the rest of the folks who are trying Trump for treason and fighting for civil rights and abortion today....it's nobody's high horse but if you don't want assumptions made about segments of the population, you probably shouldn't throw those out there either. I've never been a Fox news watcher nor most of my friends and it has nothing to do with my generation...it has to do with choices. Joe Biden didn't beat Trump with Fox News junkies. That's insulting to anyone who takes the time to vote or express their beliefs publicly.Conservative evangelicals and Karen's do not represent the "Woodstock" generation which is commonly referred to as the generation of protesting the status quo and doubting authoritarian rule. The Woodstock generation challenged the way people were segregated. Sure, we're at a crossroads concerning democracy but it's not free thinking adults who have brought us to this crossroads...it's ignorant angry racists and facists and most of them weren't around for Woodstock. Some were. The Woodstock generation impeached Nixon and got us out of Viet Nam. The Woodstock generation is not Margorie Taylor Green or Matt Gaetz or Ron DeSantis
We are also the generation of Stonewall and second wave of feminism, the antiwar movement and began Earth Day, recycling, return of organic food. Not to mention the Beatles. There are assholes in every generation.
Yup...the 60's was a scary time in our history, with both horrible calamities as well as incredible landmark accomplishments.
Yup, and I'm sure I'm not the only one, but for the last few years, I wonder why I was only given the choice between Biden vs Trump and Clinton vs Trump ? ...and all of a sudden, in a moment of clarity, I think to myself, "wait a f'n minute, are these people really the best this country has to offer?"
Well, did you look at everyone else running during both those years? Ricky Rubio, Jeb!, Chris Christie, Ted Cruz, those are the names I can think of on the right? Are any of them better than Trump? Chris Christie… maybe? Bernie Sanders, Jay Inslee, Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, Elizabeth Warren for Dems. Out of those 5 you can make the argument they are all better than Biden I guess, but would any of them be able to beat Trump? I have my doubts. I really don’t get the Biden hate, the guys been a pretty damn good president when you put things in perspective and add context. He bungled the Afghanistan withdrawal, outside of that I can’t think of another major failure but can think of many accomplishments.
Though Biden was not my first choice, I did vote for him, mainly because I obviously could not bring myself to vote for Trump...in my view, a vote for Biden was also a vote against Trump. Considering the pile of shit that Trump left for Biden, Joe hasn't done a bad job...and I'm actually hoping Trump gets the GOP nod again next year...that way, Biden will win by a large margin. Also wouldn't mind voting for a suitable independent but they probably wouldn't have much of a chance ... hell, I'd consider Liz Cheney...and oh, term limits for both houses and SC judges.
Imagine having to ever choose between these two fucks. Two of the worst people ever presented to voters. Lol
Your support of really bad dishonest people speaks your truth...all the Californian and Oregonian Proud Boys and Trumpettes should move to Florida and Tennessee.....send us hard working immigrants and we'll send you our shabby drunken street bums. DeSantis is undermining basic civil rights and constitutional freedoms as fast as he can and he's not polling well as it stands. He's no leader. It's demonstrable.
Voting while Black lands you in prison in the free state of Florida. 37 felonies a free pass. Good thing for Trump he isn't gay.
