I’m more interested in the Heat package now if it includes Jaime Jaquez Jr… he would be great to add to rotation of young core with Sharpe and Scoot.
As you said (and I've been saying), Toronto is the team that makes the most sense. Trent's and Boucher's salaries would need to be included to match, and they'd have to be willing to part with Barnes, the newly-drafted Gradey Dick (I guess... ), and maybe Achiuwa or Koloko. Alternatively, the oft-suggested Simons-for-OG swap makes even more sense now for both teams.
Yeah if Toronto isn’t blowing it up, they are the only team I like. Get Barnes and pair him with Scoot and Sharpe.
I am going to try and make this clear for even the most dense fan (GB) --- the Heat have next to nothing to offer the Blazers for Dame -- let me repeat this again -- NEXT TO NOTHING !!! Nets have a boat load of solid players and picks coming out there arse that could be moved for Dame while the Heat have another guard in Tyler Hero ( NO ) and Duncan Robinson ( HELL NO ) and an expiring contract of Kyle Lowey and some 1st's and that's it These are the two teams Dame has indicated so go look at both teams in a trade machine and then come back to me and HONESTLY tell me the Heat have the best offer cause you cannot -- FACTS I know I am coming off rude but my patience has run out with certain people on this forum so live with it or report me -- the gloves are coming off with certain people now
what is it about Barnes that people like? I've watched him play several times and I don't see him doing anything well, except for passing. He's a bad shooter, especially from three; he's not good at defense...I see him beat constantly off the dribble. He's an ok rebounder, I guess, but still only average I know he's young with upside, but I've seen enough of SF's that can't shoot to not assign them high value. Barnes seems remarkably average to me
Dame's list will be longer than those 2 teams, too. He mentioned Miami and BKN in a very stilted, filtered question. Supposedly he's talked with Cronin about 5 or 6 teams he'd be open to, previously.
I noticed Dame didn't tweet anything about the draft. Seems a bit strange to not welcome the new guys but maybe that doesn't happen. The key thing with trading him is to get young talent back; bigs especially. I think it would have to be a multi-team deal. MIA frps are relatively weak trade fodder IMHO. Same with Herro. No value.
Nets have Claxton; Heat has Martin those would be the only players from either team I'd want the Blazers to add in a Dame trade. Miami is just a really shitty trade partner for Portland
100%.....I expect offers to still come in for Scoot and I wouldn't at all be surprised if he 's traded for that Star player that fits.
After the draft what are the chances that Dame is on our team when the season starts? I'd put it at 20%.
Mia/Cle/Por 3way Mia sends 3 First round picks to Portland. Allen/Martin would start and are fairly young (25/27) making our Defense MUCH better. Lowry would be moved or bought out Grant S@T for an asset Nurk traded for anything.
They've got Garland and Mitchell there are teams that could probably find value in Herro but Cleveland isn't going to be one of them in my opinion. I also don't want to trade Dame to Miami. They were just in the Finals and while I love Dame I think he should have to go to a team that he said he prefers in Brooklyn, who have a lot more to offer us and would take more work for Dame to win one with. Don't get me wrong I want to get Dame to a preferred destination but the one that can give us the most.
