Only if we get Jalen Williams in the deal.

Respectfully, in the CP3/Horford model of it, Presti would be taking picks from Portland for them taking on Dame.

Now I did also consider this, given that they have 4 2024 first round picks. But they seem to flip those closer to the draft when teams start to think about moving a future first and 2nds for one today.

As an exercise, I’d go Jalen Williams, Bertans, filler, and 3 firsts—Dame gives them an Uber to the WCF. Then Presti flips him next summer for something else.

Dame in OKC with Chet, SGA, Poku, etc would be dangerous! I left out Giddey, because that is who I would want back. It would be almost impossible to do for now due to some of the salaries that would be needed, need a couple of months before they are available for a trade. There are certainly plenty of Draft picks available from OKC.

    But trading within the Conference/Division?

    "sources"....haha

    janitors on the down low!

yeah, within the conference would be tough; within the division would be an even bigger pill to swallow. But the Blazers could wash it down with a couple of extra 1st round draft picks

I agree that Giddey would have to be the main ask. He'd fit real well in Portland IMO. With him, Sharpe and Little as well as Grant I think I'd settle for the 6'10 Jaylin Williams. Asking for Jalen Williams might be too much after getting Giddey. I'd kind of like Isaiah Joe too

getting Giddey (ball-handling and facilitation) and Joe (perimeter shooting) pretty much eliminates the reasons to keep Ant around...that's a big bonus in my view

Blazers would have to take back Bertrans & Oladipo; probably Gay to match salary. Dipo and Gay are expiring contracts; Betrans only has 5M guaranteed in 2024-25

I'm assuming after 'giving away' Giddey, Williams, and Joe, OKC would not want to give away a lot of draft picks. But they'd have to add 2 or 3 first's plus a couple of 2nd's

I really doubt the 'sources' though

Oh. My. God! Yes PLEASE holy shit this would be amazing! It’s actually totally worth it for OKC even if they just flip him next summer for Herro and 3 picks from MIA.

It’s certainly unconventional but it makes sense for both teams. By the time Scoot and Sharpe are ready to make some noise, Dame might be ready to ironically come back to Portland to retire here. Also, its pretty low risk for PKC worst case they trade Dame at the deadline or next summer to a contender and Dame will be ecstatic to go to ANY contender.

And what goes unsaid is the fact that if we can't make Miami work for Dame, in terms of lifestyle and glamour, Oklahoma City is virtually indistinguishable from South Beach.

Do they have a tall defender? I'd rather have one of the forwards from Houston. Unless they give up Chet.

Not nearly as aggressive as Jake the Snake Roberts. He is widely regarded as one of the most aggressive and psychologically captivating wrestlers in the history of the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE). Throughout his illustrious career, Roberts demonstrated a unique style that set him apart from his peers and made him a true master of psychological warfare in the squared circle.

One of the key factors that made Jake Roberts so aggressive was his mastery of mind games. He possessed a deep understanding of human psychology, and he utilized this knowledge to manipulate his opponents mentally and emotionally. Roberts would often toy with his adversaries, playing mind games with them both inside and outside the ring. His ability to instill fear and uncertainty in his opponents gave him a tremendous psychological advantage, making them more susceptible to his brutal attacks.

Moreover, Jake's in-ring style was defined by its viciousness. He was not the type of wrestler to rely on high-flying maneuvers or flashy moves. Instead, he preferred a methodical and calculating approach, punishing his opponents with a wide array of hard-hitting strikes, devastating DDTs (his signature finishing move), and a relentless submission game. His relentless pursuit of victory often led him to take extreme measures, pushing the boundaries of aggression.

Furthermore, Roberts' use of his iconic pet snake, Damien, added another layer of fear and aggression to his character. The sight of the snake slithering around the ring created an unforgettable spectacle, instilling terror in his rivals and the audience alike. This unique gimmick solidified his status as one of the most memorable and intense figures in WWF history.

In conclusion, Jake "The Snake" Roberts' aggressive nature, combined with his unparalleled mastery of psychological manipulation, made him a standout performer in WWF history. His approach to wrestling was unlike anything seen before, and his ability to strike fear into the hearts of his opponents and fans alike made him a true legend in the world of professional wrestling.

Just the thought of trading Dame for an already foot injured WABC sent me over the top
