The fact that teams are seriously pitching for Herro right now probably means that we're very close to terms with what the Heat are giving up.
Maybe if they also get Martin from Miami. When I tried the Trade Machine they needed more salary going their direction from Miami. But without getting more assets Charlotte would be foolish to give up 3 first for Herro just to get rid of an expiring deal.
Some people are just better than others. Which is better? The answer to that lies in the eye of the beholder...
I already did it on the trade machine... Miami can't absorb the extra money but we could... you never have to have a specific amount of money coming back in the sense that if you can trade a player away into a tpe you don't have to have any money coming back, see GP2. Now, I think we would send Keon out because if we didn't we would be into the tax and there's no way we're going into the tax while rebuilding.
Because the Xenforo software doesn't know how to translate URL's with "X". Try it with "twitter" in place of "x" (and removing the time-related suffix)
What extra money? I had Portland getting Jovic, JJjr, Hayward, and maybe Highsmith Charlotte getting Herro, Martin, and maybe Highsmith Miami getting Dame
Oh, yeah, I am firmly in the camp that Nurk goes to Miami and Lowry comes here in any Dame to Heat trade. My bad.
Why do people want to offload Nurk? He's on a very reasonable salary, he's comparatively young, and (most importantly) WE HAVE LITERALLY NO OTHER NBA-QUALITY BIG and won't be getting any back in a trade
I'm fine with keeping Nurk. Miami probably has to send out Lowry in a Dame trade and it requires us to send out another large salary of which Nurk or Simons is basically it. The other way to match salaries gets complicated with 3rd teams.
Not sure Miami will give all this up but its the type of deal I'd aim for. The 2027 swap becomes fully guaranteed if we acquire Charlottes pick. If Charlotte doesn't want to give up two picks perhaps Martin could go to a 4th team instead of Charlotte.
