It turns out that I have been recovering from brain inflammation. Years of stress caused inflammation to build up in my body, including my brain. In early 2019 it became bad enough that I lost my abilities. Covid only made it worse. I just recently found out about all of this through doing some searching online. I am now working on eating foods that will help me recover, as I find out what they are. Learning a lot in a very short time.

It turns out that brain inflammation can cause derealization/depersonalization disorder. And I have it badly. I understand that it will go away the more I finish recovering. So I will get through it in the end.

I haven't been able to be myself for almost 5 years now. My memory is nearly as good as it ever was though. Which is a great sign. I am still not fully recovered. Not sure how many more months until I am.

I am glad that I have my senses back, mostly. But I am still left with things that are out of my control. I can't feel much of anything emotionally. But when I do, it may be overwhelming at times. Every tv show that I watch, every movie that I watch, I see in a new way that I have never seen them before. I wish I could explain it better, but I can't. I can't watch commercials, at all. I mute them always. They are either too stupid, too manipulative, or they just straight up lie to you. I can't watch that crap. I am never hungry. I can go all day without eating before I think I feel like I need to eat. I do eat everyday regularly though. My communication skills are still very low. I am sure there are other things I am forgetting. I will post them later when I can.

I am going to make a doctor appointment and have them make sure nothing is causing this. As long as nothing is, I will eventually recover. It will just take more time. So I just wait some more... :fishing:

Good luck with your struggles! I think breathing techniques can really help reduce stress and calm high strung nerve centers. Meditation or rest can reduce stress. Diet definitely makes a difference in inflammation. I mix white pepper with tumeric as a spice as together they are supposed to be anti inflammatory. Going vegan for a while can help stabalize the metabolism as well. Also lowers inflammation. Best to take your doctor's advice in the end.

I have been doing Qi gong since late 2019. It is a moving meditation. It uses movement and breathing to build muscle and improve lung function. It helps to calm you as well. It is one thing that has helped the most while I have been recovering.

A video I watched said that a cold shower is the best thing to reduce inflammation. I hate cold water so I have been running my hands under cold water instead of all of me. It has helped some. Another simple technique is humming. Humming raises the nitric oxide levels in your blood, which helps to relax you.

Some foods are walnuts, pumpkin seeds, fatty fish, berries, and tumeric. Tumeric is one I would have to research more before I tried it. I already eat walnuts. I recently added in pumpkin seeds which I think are already helping. I have a list of other foods to buy.

I am still looking into more as I can.

I will post more about what I went through, when I can. It was a living hell on earth.

Do you have a doctor that you see regularly? Some of this you really should be talking about with a doctor that you've seen for a while and knows your history.

I had to change my doctor a couple of years ago. I have only seen my new doctor once over a year ago. So, they don't really know me. I will still make an appointment with them, most likely Monday.

How was this diagnosed? Inflammation most likely caused by infection that needs treatment. Eating walnuts is healthy but won't cure infection. Don't fuck around. Get a medical diagnosis.

Inflammation in joints from arthritis is not the same as brain inflammation.
