I don't think he shit the bed.... seriously?

15 on 5-12 is not shitting the bed. He didn't shoot well from three and he had some turnovers but to me that's normal for a 20 year old. He played fine.

Yeah. He makes one 3 and that line looks better. If he makes two of them everyone is praising his game. 7-12 for 21 points and 5 of 6 from the line and this place says he's the next coming.
Of the 3 TO's two were reasonable. One was a headscratcher.
Just a bad game for the whole team. Grant and Simons stunk up the place. Matisse was a trainwreck. Walker and Reath both were pretty much No Shows. Kind of tough to say Scoot shit the bed.

if this was a "bad" game from Scoot, then that means he's turned the corner for sure.

The Blazers looked like a team that knew another beat down was coming and couldn’t wait to get it over with and head out on vacation.

I just rewatched all of his attempts—one of his misses was a 50 foot heave, one of his misses was an ATR attempt that was immediately followed in by a big, and one of his misses was actually a really crafty up and under shot getting him out of jail in the paint.

the airball from the right corner looked like he might have been fouled by Edwards (scoot goes to ground and no whistle).

yea the 3ball wasn’t working but I don’t think it was an altogether terrible night shooting for scoot. If you take away the heave that’s 5-11–not bad.

Folks usually either want information.....or confirmation. Be it sports, politics, religion...you name it.
If one hates the Scoot pick, they will usually search for posts, threads, or discussions where he is being dogged. That is seeking confirmation.

Truth is, we don't know. There are examples that indicate he might fail. There are examples that indicate he might succeed.
I can swing a golf club and do 6 things correct....and the ball shifts on the tee unnoticeably at the last second and the shot goes awry.
Or I can do several things really bad that somehow compensate each other, and the drive goes straight as an arrow. The observer can claim correct prediction post swing,
but it proves nothing. My point? Scoot can fail because of coaching, environment, injuries, or whatever. He could also succeed regardless of his current level of ability
because he just has a blessed career and gets in the perfect situation until he retires. Or, his natural skills develop, like the Blazers think, and he becomes all that.

I made up a saying long ago. It still holds true for me. "I would rather be wrong in predicting success....than right in predicting failure".

Scoot Henderson leads all Team Tamika scorers with 10 points on 4-6 FG during the 2024 NBA Rising Stars Game in Indianapolis.

Correct me if I'm wrong but we've had 9 rookies play for us this season.

    Scoor
    Murray
    Rupert
    Camara
    Reath
    Badji
    Bouyea
    Moore
    Hagans

Am I right? Is that a record?

Easy. He's not playing like Dame did right out of the gate.

Shocking. Who would have expected that a 19 year old with 22 games post high school would not play as well as a ROY 22 year old with like 103 post high school games right out of the gate?

Scott Brooks probably has reason to, given the last Q&A...

Just picked up his jersey the other night.

i looked it up. Dame shot 37% from three his freshman year in college when he was 19. Averaged 3 assists, 4 rbs and 11.5 pts per game. 84% from the line and averaged 29 minutes a game.
At 19 years old Scoot is on the same level, possibly better than Dame was at 19.
When Scoot is 22-23 years old is when ill start critiquing him like some other people do.

Most of the critiques i read lack significant perspective.

reminds me of the lbj vs mj debate. Sure lebron has all the total numbers. How many more years has he played? But whats that win percentage like? Mj all day for me.

Scoot is extremely likable. Im rooting for this kid like no other.

Dame and Scoot are so different it is not worth comparing the two.
