sorry, i watched that Burkhardt guy blaming Blazer fans for Portland's losing season. Shortly afterwards he tried ripping into Banton's efforts, and told us Dalano is the fat kid in the slow lane. Banton is not worth our time. That 620am show is becoming bass akwards Blazer presention

what we see is not real, and the higher IQ sports guys on Portland radio will reset the narrative, move the goal posts. Become a zombie Blazer fan. Do what they think. Do not think for yourself.

The Banton bashing starts @ 4:06

The Blazers could field an all-foreign-born starting unit:

The Canadian backcourt of Banton and Sharpe.
The French-speaking Forwards Rupert and Camara.
And Bahamian center Deandre Ayton (or Australian Duop Reath).

Wonder if there has ever been an all-foreigner starting five in the NBA?

Spurs beat the Jazz. Wemby's team is only 3 games behind the Blazers, and SAS owns the tiebreaker

    Anything is possible !!

tiebreaker is meaningless in the lottery. ties are handled with a coin toss here.

I think in the lotto you actually split the odds so if the Spurs climbed above the Hornets and into a tie with us at 4/5 then both teams would have equal odds at every pick in the top 4. If neither team ended up in the top 4 then like any tie in the draft the position would then be decided by a coin toss like you said.

Edit: The crazy part is with the Hornets' win tonight if we lose out and yeah that does mean out tanking the Hornets and Wizards then we will be tied with them unless they fuck up and win another one. If the Spurs win another two and we lose out we might be in a three way tie in the lotto with the Spurs and Hornets, splitting the odds that the 3, 4 and 5 spots get equally three ways. Interesting time for lotto odds.

Gotta keep our fingers crossed that we lose out, the Hornets pick up wins against us and another team (maybe the Celtics sitting guys in the second to last game of the season with home court locked up) and the Spurs winning three more which seems unlikely... then we'd have 3rd by ourselves which is the same as having the worst record in the league.

Banton plays to his strength pretty well. He's a handful with his height driving to the hoop, with the ball off the back board.

Do the atrocious Moses Brown free throws need their own thread?

I've seen enough of Dalano. If Shaedon is ready to play on Friday then Dalano needs to sit the rest of the season... his option for next season should obviously be picked up.

Three guard rotation of Scoot, Shae and Rayan for the rest of the season with Hagans getting spot minutes.

Banton is really interesting. What if we knew nothing about Scoot or Banton except their ages and what we see on the court? Banton seems to have all the tools. Just needs to make better decisions sometimes and improve his defense. I think he just needs game experience. Played only 21 G league games over 3 years and averaged only 10 minutes a game in somewhat limited NBA games.

I disagree. I think Banton has the tools and just needs game experience. Forget Hagans. Don't need to develop anymore undersized guards. Why can't Rayan be a SF?

I agree that Banton is promising but dude's been in the league for three seasons. These last 7 games aren't going to be career altering for him. So we need to pick up his option, keeping him for next season and sit his ass down so Scoot, Rayan and Shae get virtually all of the minutes/reps at guard for these last 7 games.

    or Banton for that matter:

nothing wrong with having a ball-handling facilitator at SF. Banton + Rupert at wings with Scoot at PG would be interesting. Camara could be at PF.

There were several times against Houston when the length of Banton-Camara-Murray-Walker-Reath caused the Rockets lot of problems all over the court. It was fun to see after the Olshey/Cronin midget-ball era.
