I didn't like his game in the final. Beginning to agree with @BonesJones that he doesn't deserve a first round pick,
the Blazer draft priorities for the last 12-15 years seems to have mostly been small guards and big slow C's. They need to focus on the players between those extremes for a few year to try and find some balance
I am not sure what Edey's value is if you don't have him the be the hub on offense. Defensively, I see someone getting played off the floor. I think he has a role against some bench units, but I am not spending a lottery pick on that....
No thanks…..if I were ever go against @Mediocre Man and draft an American Born Caucasian Big Man I’d get this kid from Maine next year.
You never know who you might pick up as an Uber driver. So much info available. Same thing can be said for those landscaping positions.
Some Raptor players think he has some value, maybe middle of first round. “There's definitely a spot for him,” Olynyk said. “You need size to guard certain people situationally. He's gonna be a force, a load on either end of the floor, no matter what you do. You can run schemes to make it work. It's just how dedicated you are to it.” “I think about JB Bickerstaff playing big in Cleveland, you know, even when they had Lauri Markkanen, they had three seven-footers starting and they did what they did,” Temple said. “So it's definitely about having the gall (to pick Edey) because we know he can play, we know he can move, he's improved every year.” https://www.si.com/nba/raptors/toronto-raptors-talk-zach-edey-potential-in-the-nba
but if anyone needs some insider tips on how to get rid of dandelions and aphids, we know where to go!
The Mrs. wouldn't dare command @HCP to weed their Estate when she knows how important he is! I don't know HCP but since I joined and noticed the Mrs. Jabs I thought I'd get one in haha.
People say Edey won't be able to guard the perimeter, which is true, but he can defend the paint, and would be a monster rebounder, and a great inside scorer. If you had a guard that you knew could average 25 points, on 60 TS%, and average 10 assists per game, was a good perimeter defender, but he's only weakness was that he wasn't a good interior defender, would you say "oh he's a 2nd round pick"
Plenty of 1sr rounders go bust. It's truly a crap shoot. Let's roll the dice! This kid looks like a worker/Learner.
