I hate the pitch clock with an unbridled passion but I can also see all the benefits of it. It was a no-brainer for the league to do even if I hate it. Welcome back to the best sport in the world.
my biggest gripes were: 1) it's boring AF. 2) there are no charismatic stars to love/hate. the clock addresses #1 in a big way, especially live. my wife is imploring me to pick a winning team to follow instead of the hapless mets ( i seem to support the shitty ones for some reason). i will try to hit yankee stadium for a game in the coming weeks and see how that feels.
Julio as the tying run on first and then THAT happens still has me questioning why I even watch or listen. Wtf
Sir, no. I can't in good conscience allow you to become a fan of the Yankees. Just please don't. May I offer an alternative? The Baltimore Orioles. Fun team, guy that was born in Portland is the face of the franchise. They are my 2nd team and I just adopted them because they are just a good group.
Bruh I can't get over that 6 of our 9 regular hitters aren't hitting above .200 and we're 15 games in. LIKE WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK. Julio usually has this slump in late May, not to start the season.
I saw a stat that said we are making every pitcher we face look like prime Nolan Ryan. Every starter going 6+ innings and striking out 9 or some shit. And I'm just over here begggggggging for a base hit. It's putrid.
The owners/gm/upper management took all that goodwill from 2022 and threw it out with the trash. It's infuriating how they did nothing but Neil Olshey type stopgaps when we had a chance to make some fucking moves.
Im not pinning it on anyone. I’m just taken back at how bad he’s been when he been a model of consistency his whole career. Lots of time to get it figured out though
Winker hitting .362 Kelenic .354 Dylan Moore .182 ? is the Mariners Front Office and coaching staff on the same page?
