Lakers actually do make sense, have pretty good defense, great size, and could use more dynamic scoring.

Just question how long that team will be contending as James will be 40 in a few months. I guess Trae could fill up seats even if they transition to a rebuild.

If there were a way to bet against the Blazers landing him I'd do that... can't see anyway that makes sense. I guess hard to rule out stupid decisions from our management and especially ownership/Vulcan.

Of course he will go to the Lakers. Trae is PERFECT for the LAL.

Yeah that could push them to title favorites next season. After LBJ it just depends on how long AD's got. An offense based around a Trae/AD P&R with some three and D guys around them who can also cut off the ball could be very good for a handful more years.

So in other words... fuck that, the Lakers can wither on the vine. Let LeBron leave them in shambles. Fingers crossed. Oh and I'm not even specifically a Lakers hater I'm an equal opportunity hater so I hope Trae goes wherever he can play the most entertaining ball and not push a team to contending status.

I think your way overrating Trae effectiveness. He's proven to be a much lesser guard than Dejonte Murray or many others. Horrible defender and inefficient scorer.

Not to say he couldn't have a role on a good team like many bench scoring guards. But he's certainly not a Batman nor a Robin on a team that's contending.

I refuse to trade for him unless he gets rid of his awful hair.

it was a tough choice...we were debating whether to have a thread about a tiny guard who can't play defense or about the quality of Blazer Broadcasting and we went the option that would create the least anger

Sounds like Trae wants to be more of a robin type player here which might fit better with Ayton?

Trae is one of the best passers in the NBA. He showed some fortitude by finishing the season in a jousting glove after breaking his hand. Once Trae Young gets back to 100% health, he will be an absolute menace. Ungaurdable pick & roll, logo shots, pinpoint lobs.

Great idea. Blazers just need to first get a Batman, Nightwing, Alfred, Batgirl, and commissioner Gordon.

Short, offensive genius, defensive dunce… something about him seems familiar.

He's been pretty bad ever since they stopped giving him every call, so I guess he'd be perfect in LAL with their free throw disparity.
