Congrats to @e_blazer for winning this year! To appear in the cumulative standings, you must have predicted at least two-thirds of the games for the time period in which the standings reflect. You must also have predicted in at least seven of the past ten games (unless 10 games have not yet been played for the season). Sheesh, I’m not sure how I blundered into winning this contest. I’ve been contacted by crandc about getting some of her cookies as the prize. Since I just received some a little bit ago for a monthly prize, and in an effort to watch my waistline a bit, I will pass the prize on to the second place finisher. I know you will enjoy the treat.
Strictly speaking, @e_blazer is entitled to two batches of cookies. One for April and one for full year.
Congrats to e_blazer for winning and Grandpa and crandc for running and supporting the contest. It was a ray of sunshine and interest for fans to stay engaged and entertained in a rough year. On that note the Blazers losing by 60 in Miami destroyed any chances of winning the prediction contest.
my average was waaay off. It's not my fault. I lived in denial with good expectations for the Blazers.
Acceptance of your denial is your first step to doing better next year. However, for many optimism reigns supreme while in others (such as me this year) it quickly turns to perpetual pessimism. May next year give reason to be optimistic.
