This seems similar to saying: I don't mind seeing black people, as long as... they stay at the back of the bus.

Conservatives are trying to find a way of saying "racism and homophobia are awesome" so people agree with them without anyone noticing what they're actually agreeing to.

"I don't like diversity and inclusion" isn't the slam dunk some think it is, though, and while some right of center but left of fascism might be sad or resigned to it, I feel like most everyone agrees that people of color are humans who need the same rights as white people, that queer folks are humans who need the same rights as straight people, etc. etc. etc. (and by rights I mean rights in deed not in word alone. If the system is still discriminating in action despite being equal legally, the system still needs changing).

The last two in this list make no sense to me at all.

It seems to me that LGBTQ has become the new Pi, with a nearly endless number of letters instead of numbers.

Most of these truly seem to be nothing more than a persons sexual preference rather than a gender, therefore shouldn't even be included in the group. But since that is already the case, in the first place. The list of LGBTQ, seems to be endless.

I am not trying to offend anyone here. So, if you are a "politically correct" warrior. Don't bother replying, I won't even debate this with that type.

If you believe they truly are genders or have a response worth replying to, or a question, I will listen.

No doubt same place as Mitch McConnell, William Barr and all the others who publicly said Trump is unstable, dangerous and unfit for office. Supporting Trump.

An online search answered my own question, as well as confirmed exactly what I thought it was. A social construct. And therefore, has nothing to do with your sex at birth.

It also means that the pronouns you want to use are up to you. Society forcing their will over your freedom of choice, on a made up social construct, is purely asinine.

So I will never worry about not being able to use any groups pronouns, due to my autism. I won't ever allow anyone to force me to use them, on a socially constructed make believe fantasy.

Edit: Now that I answered my own question. I am done here.

Interestingly, graysexuality (also called gray ace, short for gray-asexual) and the concept of decolonizing gender have a lot in common conceptually: western Christian modes of discussing sexuality and gender focus really intensely on rigid roles in binary opposition, going all the way back to the establishment of original sin as a concept by the Catholic Church. In this paradigm you are a man or a woman. You are celibate or sexually active. You are heterosexual or homosexual. The paradigm allows for no in between values, nor values off axis from the single line.

Non-western, non-Christian cultures, especially pre-colonization, had already come to grips with the concepts of nuance and spectrum in gender, sexual preference, and sexual intensity. Instead of forcing those in between into one role or another based on the societal expectation placed on your genitalia, roles for people who aren’t in the binary were accepted. And no, nothing was perfect or all roses vis a vis discrimination, there was at least a societal mechanism by which someone could belong closer to their actual individual identities.

Gray ace is about sexual intensity, independent of attraction modes or gender. There’s a range at play here, but the queerness of it comes from the pressure western society puts on sexual desire and performance. It may seem like a silly thing to identify as but it does help to know for yourself so you can communicate clearly to your partner that you won’t be having sex much. That becomes a big sticking point in a lot of relationships and people get pressured to have sex more than, or feel frozen out if they have sex less than they really want or need to feel healthy. So this is a good marker to have handy as a point in discussing your compatibility with someone.

Decolonizing gender is about trying to counteract your own assumptions about how gender and sexuality will be expressed around the world, given cultural differences and upbringing. You could find yourself having a lot of friction with a trans partner from a different culture if you assume and pressure them to perform their gender in a way you’re culturally comfortable with but that erases their culture’s way of expressing the same gender. This friction is what needs to be worked on, and learning to recognize and accept and support ways of presenting or identifying that aren’t the version of gender and sexuality that you’re used to makes you a better ally in the long run.

Wasn't the first time that show happened, either. National Lampoon had a dvd called lost reality 2 that had a show with a similar premise.
