I really like the idea of trading Ant to Orlando for Wendell Carter and Jalen Suggs+ a draft pick. I think that would be awesome for both sides. We would also get Hailey Van Lith as a Blazers fan.
Simons + Ayton for WCJ + Isaac + JoeIngles (team option) + Black + ORL and DEN 2025 picks. Orlando keeps their guys at the expense of Black. And the picks. They can ditch some expiring contracts, so they may not have to send Ingles back and instead use cap space … maybe ... Isaac is an expiring contract. It’s really about WCJ + Black + picks and lower team salary for Portland. I just don’t quite see Ayton as our dude at center. He is good. Brogdon and Chicago I like. Pick is finalized/returned to Blazers. Grant + 14 to SAC for Keegan Murray + our 2025 2nd rounder back + Huerter and his injured knee and 2 years of reasonable contract (can stay or be traded). PORTLAND goes for young talent, picks, picks returned, and lower salary. Tankathon opens new corporate offices in the Rose Quarter. Matisse traded … to a contender-ish team. Details pending. Scoot, Sharpe, Keegan Murray, DRAFTEE, WCJ Bandon, Rupert, Camara, Huerter, Kris Murray, Walker, Isaac, Reath 13 + 2 second rounders / 2-ways … etc.
Wasn't Grant absorbed in a trade exception? Thus 0 players traded away from the roster (this threads question)
Ball is damaged goods. I wouldn't be in a rush to get our pick back as there's a very real chance it just becomes a 2nd rounder. This seems more like a deadline deal if we can't find a better return for Brogdon.
Wasn't it being discussed elsewhere that if we don't control our pick by the time the first swap comes around with Milwaukee, we might lose the swap?
Nate… Suggs is better than Ant. He’s a DPOY candidate. They would not give up him and WCJ and picks for Simons.
I hope that it's greater than 0, not including deals just with draft picks, but I fear Cronin is just going to let it ride and we won't see any veterans moved. Most of the deals in this thread would definitely exceed my expectations at the moment.
That's also cause they're all incredibly biased towards the Blazers lol. Basically none of them are remotely realistic except maybe the Chicago one depending on how they feel about getting off Ball.
If we miss the playoffs in 2025 2026 2027 but make it in 2028 and Milwaukee has a worse record. Sure there's a chance but that's a lot of ifs. With the tank job we've seen the last 3 years can't imagine we don't tank that year if there is a chance Milwaukee could have a top lottery pick.
Neither is of our timeline. I'd rather take a flyer on a recent lottery pick like Jarace Walker or Ausar Thompson.
