Top 1st Volpe goes down swinging Soto with a 1 hopper through the 2nd-1st base gap Judge strikes out at a low curve in the dirt. Burnes kept all 3 strikes low. Soto steals 2nd Stanton, looks at shit a foot outside and swings... JUST LIKE HE DID LAST NIGHT.
Yanx have 36 GIDP in 32 games Trevino grounds out Cabrera with a single Volpe flies out to CF Cabrera steals 2nd Soto grounds out
Grisham (.083 B 'Avg) and GT, 2 duds with weak hit ground ball outs. Trevino with a inf hit. Cabrera with a 2 run HR!!
Unbelievable, I thought for sure Holmes was going to blow the 8th, in lieu of working out of jam with 2 OB and the tying run AB. Holmes and Gil looked good for what seemed like the first time, since gawd knows when, wtf? In the vein of every wannabe closer post Mo'. D-Rob, Chapman, Cesspool, Phil Hughes, Joba, Bettances and many other relievers of the Trashman era, who all shared a common thread, i.e., leaving fans sitting on the edge of their seats-- I expected all full counts, foul balls, and lack of control, without a bit of luck on the border-line pitches of the K-zone, by the HP Ump with poor eye sight, who's assisted by the first ever seeing eye dog in MLB. 1 bark strike, 2 barks ball! I expected a wild pitch or 3, a hit batter, and a couple of walks, with a single hit to load the bases. I expected BaBoone choking on Rolaid's instead of bubble gum. I haven't seen much of the 024 team to understand how the bullpen is built, or frantically tossed together like a vagrant claiming trash, tossing his choice picks and finds in a bullpen pile. I have scratched my head damn near until almost all of my hair fell out, wondering, why did Trashman trade King, and keep Holmes? I have a feeling the NY GM screwed King's head up from the constant deluge of changing his status from Closer, a set-up man, a Starter etc?
