I stand by what I said earlier but now I wonder what they do with Billups -- I have been going back and forth with what would have happened if they got a top 3 pick.

IF they would have gotten a top 3 pick would they have given Billups ONE more year to prove it or realize maybe he is not ready for this rebuild ? However then the exit interview comes to mind and now that the Blazers have fallen to the 7th pick I think ...

Billups is bought out within 5 days but who knows when the GM is a joke and the owner just wants to make money and I believe tolerates the Blazers just cause it makes money.

Fans don't even know what they're arguing for thinking it's the end of the world that we fell in a weaker draft. We'll end up with the same guy regardless.

If this post season has shown anything is it’s a different game in playoffs. Having great defensive players is crucial to winning. You need 1 or 2 guys that can score in key moments and guys who can lock down defensively.

Blazers Uprise has dope graphics, and legit Blazer fan reactions. It's unique in Portland, because ALL the other podcasts are on the same tow chain getting dragged around by Front Office narratives.

There are just teams that are consistently lucky, like the Spurs, and then there are teams like the Blazers that are consistently unlucky, what are you supposed to do? Some are just constantly lucky and some are just constantly unlucky

There are mock drafts Topic is number 1. Here he is number 2.

This draft is so unclear. Someone's diamond is another's trash

Just as long as we don’t end up with the Anthony Bennett of this draft lol

    Bundle

Put 7 and a high 2nd together and move up? Blazers need Cody Williams, and you know someone like Detroit is going to steal Cody just to piss off Cronin

Picking Scoot last year was an easy choice

    Picking Shaedon took some balls

Picking this year will be fun

They need shooting in any way they can get it. They aren't going to take Cody Williams.

i bet you a king size candy bar right now, the Blazers are grabbing Cody. He's like an upgraded Kris Murray, he'll do great in Portland.

I'm not seeing a ton of similarities between Murray and Williams. I can see the pick making sense if he's available at 7.

I was referring to the Pistons. They aren't taking Cody Williams.

I like Cody Williams at 7.

that's what i'm saying... GM's are cutthroat when they know what rookie their rivals want. Good way to squeeze another asset from Portland.

If Cody rolls a natural 7, then it's all good

Minny had 1 and GS had 2

Minny had intel GS wanted Wiseman

    Minny wanted Edwards

Minny offered to trade 1 to GS for 2 and assets

Eventually GS made the right choice in not paying more to be wrong, lol

Anthony Bennett was the #1 pick. If he had been the #7 pick he'd just be another #7 pick bust.
You can't have an Anthony-Bennett-level blunder with the 7th pick.
You should refer to a #7 pick that didn't work out.
Killian Hayes is the worst-case scenario, not Anthony Bennett.

Warriors didn't need Anthony Edwards, they have Klay Thompson.

the right or wrong choice ??

there's a big fat 2022 Warriors championship ring that reminds everyone sticking with Klay was the correct decision.
