I saw today that Denver might be interested in Hayward. I wonder if they might shop Porter jr around to see what his value is?

At $35M, with his injury history and 17/7 production, that might be a tough contract to move.

    That's a solid hire.

‘What happened with your last two coaches?’

‘oh them? Don’t worry about them. Let’s talk about the future!’

Because hiring a notoriously disciplinarian coach for a team headlined by a 39-year-old notorious coach-killer is a GREAT idea

Boy, JJ Redick has got to feel catfished.

Good news: maybe his ex-assistant coach will be free to be our new coach?

That was my first thought. I guess he could adapt but it could be a rocky first year.

I’m guessing he walked away. Redick is too young and has too much career ahead of him to go to a coach-killing franchise like LA. The Phil/Pat administrations were eons ago at this point.

    He's not on a contract anymore. He's a RFA.

Some good advice from Tatum on expectations as a young player like Scoot.

If Utah wanted to move him they would get a lot more from another team than the Lakers. (i.e OKC)

Hard to argue that Markannen wouldn't be a good fit with the Lakers. Reaves (and salary flotsam), the 17th pick, 29 1st unprotected, 31 unprotected, and intervening swaps. While OKC could beat it (unprotected future Lakers picks are likely more valuable at this juncture than OKC's), I am not sure they'd want to... regardless, I'm not sure he is available, and Danny Ainge would try to fleece them if he was.
