That will be wild if Jrue wins finals MVP.

Can't think of any similar situations in NBA history where a player is the 2nd or 3rd best guy on a title winning team, then traded for an "upgrade" at the position, then leads his next team to a title.

He's such an enjoyable player to watch on both sides of the ball. Even when Dame had some heroic performances I always had questions if that style of play could ever win a title. Dame had such horrible defense, ISO offense, difficulty against big wing defenders, and susceptibility to trapping.

Holiday has been my favorite PG in the league for awhile now.

Well, I had Mavs in 5 so I guess I'm very happy to be wrong.

I had to help my brother with some work. Who won, what happened? Did the Celtics cheat? They were cheating in the first half

The Celtics won because, well, Dallas isn’t really very good.

This is a team game. Luka is the best player in this series. It feels like 07 Cavs vs the Spurs. In this analogy Luka is Lebron and Boston is San Antonio

    Oh my unintentional mistake. Amended.

Man, there was a quote from Dame recently basically stating he dislikes the Boston Dallas series because it meant other stars will get their first ahead of him. It screams jealousy but also honest. Imagine how he must feel that Jrue is not only about to win but contributing in a big way

Peep the mistake I made in the post too lmao. Keeping it up there cause it's making me laugh.

Nah, dame shouldn't feel jealous. He didn't have control over who we got back.

On that note, I for whatever reason don't miss Dame all that much. I'm just sitting here waiting for the team to have a path and identity.

    Several here floated that possibility.

I've never wagered on sports, but I would have confidently put money on Boston after they acquired Jrue.

I thought it was Boston or Milwaukee for sure. Once Milwaukee had enough injuries to knock them out I figured it would be Boston.

Milwaukee was briefly the betting favorite, but I was far from convinced that Dame would be a good fit there. As soon as we flipped Jrue to Boston, it was never close on paper, IMO. Boston is perfectly constructed to thwart a healthy Milwaukee, with Tatum and Porzingis to frustrate Giannis, and Holiday and White to do the same with Dame.

Yeah, I'm a homer for Dame and I like Giannis. I wanted them to win more than I probably thought they would.

Holiday & White had 4 steals and 3 blocks. Guards that can shoot AND play defense, It's just not fair

we're supposed to get excited for new assistant coaches. Tell you what Strenuus, while you're waiting, do some homework and make a list of assistant coaches that will help propel this Blazers squad towards the championship.
