Because who do you want at 5 who won't be there at 7? Maybe Buzelis? Do you think Salaun is gonna get taken at 6?

The idea is to take Clingan at 5 because he might not make it to 7, and then flip Clingan for 9 and other value.

I think the 7-10 range is the sweet spot for us. We could take Salaun, Knecht, Cody, etc at that range.

If we could get 5 for 14 and Grant, Id keep the both 5&7 and hope Reed falls, then we take Salune at 7. Then work a trade for Simons and some for a young wing. If Ware drops to second round take him.

O’Conner is a tool, not sure how he has the level of career that he does…

I'm thinking we trade both of our picks to Phoenix for CP3.

Im thinking the 5 with Ayton & Duop will be adequate, if we could get a gun slinger shooter and a guy like Salune or Cody…

That'll be super impressive since CP3 is on Golden State.

I agree with this, I'd just stick with 5 and 7. Moving up to 5 and salary relief for Grant would be amazing.

I kind of get Nates point that you may be able to get the two guys you wanted anyways moving back plus another asset.... But there's a big risk you miss out on one or two guys you preferred for a pretty mediocre asset coming back.

I don't think the Blazers are giving up Clingan just to get extra considerations next year. Maybe for Sarr, but I don't think anyone else.

Clingan sure feels like Zach Collins is 2.0.

He averaged 22 minutes per game this season. I honestly hate drafting centers in the lottery.

Would've loved to have drafted Sarr.

Is Sarr a center or a power forward? Or can he play both?

I honestly do too. I just hope they know what they're doing. Let's hope every team can't be wrong. I like the IDEA of Clingan.

Wiseman, Jaxson Hayes, Bamba, Okafor, Kaminsky, and Len all would speak towards how difficult of a job NBA talent evaluators have.

The 2 positions / type of player in the draft that give me worry are -- pure athletic SG/SF and Centers ( with some weight or one's who are super skinny ) cause for the first they usually never grow much past being a freak athlete and the latter it's just the fact that too many legit big men meaning 6'10 and up cannot adjust because of they are either too skinny or too big and bulky. I know there are exceptions but those two things make me think twice or dozen times before I want to see them in a Blazer uni.

In this instance (Grant to Pistons for #5) I would package 5 & 7 and try for pick #1 or #2 and take Risacher or Sarr. I prefer Risacher. Then take Edey at 14.
