Well, now I understand why Blazers are witholding information. Who would want to admit to their fans that they sold the rights to very good players"
Is it true ownership is too cheap to fire Billups and now we are selling picks for cash? Being small market is hard enough but being stingy too? Damn
He was sure to thank all of the scouting staff as well in the press conference. All to say is that they scouted Clingan last year and thought highly enough to draft him if he were to have come out last year. An entire year's worth of scouting for one player they had already targeted as a pick the year prior.
Let's revisit this when at least 5 players we could've taken (almost certainly including Kolek) turn out to be better than players we have on the roster.
Blazers need some new blood at the top. Someone who actually likes basketball would be a good start. This is pretty depressing. Makes me think any other trades will be for bargain bin contracts and late future 1s.
Considering that OKC gave up FIVE second rounders to the Knicks to get a player that everyone thought was a mid-second-rounder, us getting ZERO is fucking pathetic.
If you're him and you can choose your team, why would you choose the Blazers? Ten to one he ends up in Miami. Or worse, the Lakers. Or even worse DALLAS.
Definitely lame to go from four picks to one in this draft when we're as desperate as we are for talent.
To Phoenix, who drafted Dunn in the first round, but who needs a point guard. I don't understand... anything.
We did add our starting SF in addition to the pick which is more than we thought we would get. Plus if we do intend to trade Grant or Thybulle or Ant.......there will be some matching salaries coming back that we will need room for.
