But for whom? Do you see a deal that makes sense for both us and the Pels?

3 way swap, ayton to NO, and either something like CJ to Orlando, or Ingram to Sacramento, assets from 3rd team to us?

Ingram is the obvious choice. It would be a 3 way (or more). I posted a 5 team example last night.

You don't think Clingan makes the rotation?

You think there's any chance that the Kings would give up the good Murray brother in a deal like that?

OK lets say that happens, (and I agree with you that it won't) does it matter who starts between Scoot and Ant? Like last year they will all get their minutes even if they all remained healthy for 82 games. But of course they won't all stay healthy so they will all
end up starting and finishing games during stretches of the season.

I don’t think it at all makes sense to trade Ayton right now. Let Clingan come off the bench for his rookie season.

I think his minutes are going to be dictated by how bad his foul trouble is

I'd wonder if Sharpe will be benched instead of Scoot....

....even though the 2-man combo of Scoot/Simons was the worst 2 man combo on the team. On average, they had a net/100-possessions of -20.4. Yikes! The worst combo Portland had in 2022-23 was Little/Sharpe at -10.7

Believe me, I gave the 'sauces' what for due to them not exactly picking the dealing of 2nd round picks for future picks and then selling 2 picks for cash. They are ALL on thin ice. :bgrin:

Portland, please stay as far away from this player as possible. No need for him.

Give us our pick back and a future first, I'd consider it.

Aim to rehab his value then flip again in a year or two like the Thunder did with CP3.

To get off that contract they would have to add 2025 unprotected as well as the Portland pick back plus, plus, plus.

Zach Lavine, the 2020s Shareef Abdur-Rahim.

If Detroit craps out on signing free agents they should take that first round pick, same as OKC used to do. Or maybe Brooklyn should send Ben Simmons over for him.

LaVine has actually had really solid numbers over the last 4 seasons. They fell off a bit this season. He's a prolific scoring SG who plays weak defense. Kind of an empty-calorie player as a #1 or #2 option. That sure seems familiar

If we first sent our Simons and Grant I'd consider it. All 3 trades should add a long term piece, it's fine having one of those players but we don't need 2-3 of them.
