That’s cool that Deni went down there too.

Looks like the Chinese team has a bigger dude than Clingan.

I’m going to the Monday/Tuesday games! Hoping to spot Scoot/Deni and maybe even Chauncey there

Yeah - it's a bit weird that he's not playing but Murray is - Murray actually played more MPG than Camara in the back half of the season. Of course, that may have been because we were actively tanking then.

Looking forward to seeing this but not enough to miss the Timbers match.

Only rule I can think of that would prohibit him playing would be the four veteran limit. Think only Murray and Rupert would count though. Hopefully he and Scoot are getting better games.

Murray and Rupert have to really show out in these SL games.

Scoot will be signing autographs nearby tomorrow gonna try to catch him while he’s there when my flight arrives. I love all of our young guys so they’ll get all the praise from me

Why they heck isn’t Scoot playing in summer league?

Seems kind dumb he isn’t playing.

Miller is playing again this summer league.

Jabari Smith played in summer league last season after his first year?

Anyone know any reason why Scoot isn’t playing in summer league?

Last year I saw nothing from those two guys that impressed me at all, they have to show a lot more to make me think they have a chance to be more than end of bench scrubs

Mindset is a critical part of success....Combined with how little summer league contributes to improving skillset. It's meant for evaluation, and they know what they have with Scoot

Um, your take is just as bad as Scoot not playin in summer league. Actually it’s worse lol

PG is the hardest position for new players coming to the NBA to learn, especially someone as young as Scoot and lack of college experience.

If you honestly think that playing in 4 or 5 Summer League games is make or break then I don't know what to tell you. You should be happy that he's around the team and clearly scrimmaging with them, which is presumably 90% of whatever value there is in playing SL.

The main point of SL is for players without contracts to get them.

No they don't - they've got guaranteed contracts! What you mean is you WANT them to.

Is anyone else thinking “who gets hurt in the first game and for how long will they be out?”

I never said it’s make or break. It doesn’t hurt at all for Scoot to play in summer league.

Why is Brandon Miller playing? You know, the guy drafted before Scoot. Or Jabari Smith last summer league after he had a bad first year?

It’s to gain more experience and get more reps up under your belt being a young player, especially for a point guard. Scoot wasnt playing in control many times last season and his turnovers were horrible. It doesn’t hurt to get extra reps up and try to improve more and more as he is still young, that’s also what summer league is for.

If summer league is for players without a contract to play for one, then why does any rookie who is drafted in the top 20 and guarantee a roster spot on a NBA team even play in summer league by your logic? Doesn’t make sense imo

I don’t know why you guys defend Scoot so much in here, it’s dumb he isn’t playing in summer league, period.
