why the madness? Because ESPN pushed the Caitlin Clarke hype button for Bronny. The Los Angeles media basically turned a #55 pick into clickbait.

As unfortunate as this sounds, a late 2nd round rookie might be a scapegoat for an incompetent LAL Front Office.

the Lakers were supposed to go after ballers this summer. Top Free Agents, home run trades. Woj and ESPN put every FA and trade rumor in a fake Lakers jersey, then made a big speech on television.

Instead of Showtime fireworks this summer, NBA fans were served a massive dose of LeBron's kid. A rookie who probably can't help the team win next season.

    >> if Bronny was developing on a rebuilding tanking team, there wouldn't be issues. He's on the Lakers. They're supposed to be gunning for a championship.

Lakers have a team with 2 MVP candidates. They are a premier NBA team that gets maximum TV coverage.

A lot of frustration is from Laker fans. They get Cronin cap space & flexibility speeches from their GM. The only move to improve the team was drafting Knecht. But Dalton is also a rookie. Laker fans aren't the brightest light bulb in the shop, but they're not dim enough to put high expectations on rookies.

Where's the TV money?? The Lakers absolutely can afford a jump over 2nd apron to grab another superstar. Budget cut Lakers with a team that won a Championship, and made the WCF, is a deflating situation for their fanbase.

I really don't take anything LeBron says seriously. He's an athletic freak (like among the freakiest big athletes of all time) and because of that he's had the best training and opportunities anybody could ever hope for.

It's a hell of a hand to be dealt. And he's done well with it.

But that's it. Other than that he's just a clown.

Wow! This is a terrible take. The dude is just a clown? Besides doing well with training and "opportunities". Like you think this dude just got lucky? He's probably the best basketball mind ever to play the game at an all NBA level. Somehow, maybe because the dude is a genius and not a clown, the dude has made money moves that put every NBA player not named Michael Jordan to shame. Not just his salary or endorsements, the guy has a huge and varied portfolio. Not to mention he is the original client of Klutch Sports and pretty much made Rich Paul one of the most powerful names in American professional sports. There is a larger list than just Rich Paul too. There is a ton of money that LeBron has given to and raised for very functional grass roots charities, that have real time and real life impacts on people.

So calling the guy a clown who just got "dealt" "a hell of a hand" is preposterous. Yeah, I think he is the freakiest athlete of all time given his size, athletic explosiveness and the refinement of skills that he had at just 17 when he was first really featured in the national spotlight but the business empires that this guy has been a huge part of since then have blown away all but four other athlete in the history of sports, in terms of net worth. Still you don't take him seriously...

Every parent on earth thinks their kids are better than they are. Fact!
This is what I’m talking about. People are hating on this kid for WHO he is, not what he’s doing.

Laker fan bad take of the day:

    Christian Wood
... is better then Wendell Carter Jr.

    Stat check:
    C-Wood, 6pts 5reb, 46% FG
    WCJ, 11pts 7reb, 52% FG

ummm, too much smog in LA might be frying brain cells

People in this county (especially the younger ones) hate on rich successful people, no matter what race.
Once rich....... they all become "entitled" in their eyes.

    How is it racism?
I don't see anything supporting that notion.

Just because someone doesn't like the personality of another individual does not equate to racism.

Oh fucking please. The Lakers are the leagues longstanding golden goose franchise with the most fans following it. Rather then let the story lines settle on the obvious issues facing the franchise (them sucking and not having hope in 2024-5) they drafted the definition of a red herring to give the media thats always focused on them something else to gnaw on. The Lakers drafted Bronny to take the focus off of their failures and it hasn't worked. The Lakers and the James family aren't victims here. If the Lakers don't draft him, he goes undrafted as no team is looking for a small Shooting Guard who can't shoot

remember when LeBron said he would play for the team who drafted Bronny? If 29 teams passed on the opportunity to sign LeBron James & his kid, wouldn't that be somewhat embarrassing? Enter the spin zone >> the Lakers will host the best father & son duo in the history of sports.

I guess, but this season going to be one long embarrassment. Once the season starts, the story lines will return to the roster being boarder line play-in talent and LA fans won't be taking solace in this feel good side show, they will resent it. Junior just doesn't possess a viable NBA skillset... he aspires to be a poor man's Davion Mitchell. I don't see a story book ending for LBJ in La La Land.

The Griffeys wave hello from on top of that mountain.

Random question. Was scrolling on insta and got served some guy talking about bets.

the bet was bronny scoring 25+ in any one game in the season. His screen showed a 83$ bet to win just below 3k.

    do you take it?

I don't tell people how to bet, but Ant had that huge game his last rookie season game against Sac. But Ant was selected 30 spots above Bronny. I could see the Lakers playing him big minutes in a throw away at the end of season or in a blow out. Interesting bet.

Is that considered telling people how to bet if you simply answered the question yes or no? Maybe state it this way, if i was a betting man, i would/ wouldn't take this bet. I mean, it's solicited. They asked. It's small $. I'd be hesitant if $$$$$$

2 things I personally will not give an answer to:

Whether or not a person should marry or whom to marry.

Whether or not a person should buy a house or which one to buy.

Maybe if it was a close family, I will share them how my thought process works but am apprehensive giving direct answers to those questions often presented as seeking advise. The stakes are too big and long-lasting

LeBron is going to say he won't play unless Bronny is on the court. Then he'll drive and when they double team him he'll dump it to Bronny.

    Watch Bronny average 20...

I just threw out a couple things to ponder in making a decision. I'm not a betting man, but sometimes I have useless information to share.

I actually thought of a scenario where dad has 15 assists and Bronny gets the 25+. Would not put it past them. I doubt any of the other Lakers would want to participate in such a scheme.
