I was listening to NBA radio this morning and they pointed out the obvious about Booker and Tatum. Two stars who are not used to being role players, and consequently struggling. Even though they are two of the best players in the world, they still feel the pressure knowing that if they miss their first few shots, they might get pulled before they have a chance to get into a rhythm....like they normally would playing for their NBA team.

I bring this up because one of my biggest pet peeves is those fans who always criticize players for being inconsistent with their shooting when they come in cold off the bench. And those are players far less talented than Tatum and Booker. It's not easy and it's pretty common. Not just with our players.

It's been raining pretty good. I don't think they've been able to do everything they had planned. Also, no fireworks. Perhaps due to the railroad arsons?

They have done more than enough. The rain made some of it look even cooler.

That's certainly your opinion. I wasn't trying to be overly critical, just pointing out a few things out.

What's a Canadian Dort? Like an American Dort, but less likely to litter?

Had an 'opportunity' to watch the opening ceremonies today. Visuals were great, NBC commentary was absolute shit.

Not sure who would actually consider this a "Good Opening Ceremony"?

Absolutely the worst I have ever seen. The boats were a joke. An Opera singer on the roof of a building lip syncing? Really?
How does a major sophisticated advanced 1st world country come up with this as a major part of their opening ceremony to what many consider the biggest sporting spectacle on earth?

I don't know, it sounds like someone did start it. "It stood at 480 square miles (1,243 square kilometers) on Friday night and was moving quickly north and east after igniting Wednesday when authorities said a man pushed a burning car into a gully in Chico and then calmly blended in with others fleeing the scene."

Why was Papa Smurf in the Olympics? I know Smurfs are from Belgium, which is next door to France, but the reference seems dated.
