there was confusion in the preliminary rookie of the year discussion. Nobody knew who these guys are. Edey is 7'4" so they gave him 8 votes. Enough to win the rookie analysis contest.

rando Laker fan after learning of Woods surgery: "something is fishy, this isn't normal. The NBA is trying to stop LBJ from winning more rings then Jordan."

... thinking outside the box is difficult for fans in LA. It's like a faulty ice maker switch. Cubes, water, and towels strewn around kitchen, until a neighbor comes over and unplugs the fridge.

Christian Wood is a 6'9 Runnin' Rebel. A lightweight but rangy post player with decent range. (Brandon Ingram possibilties). The 2015 draft goobers had him pegged to be a 1st round pick, but alas he went undrafted.

He joined up with the Sixers G-League team, got spot minutes in the show. Wood bounced between the G-League and the NBA on minimum contracts for the next few years.

He had a very promising season with the Pistons. The Rockets saw serious potential, and Christian Wood finally earned his bag. 3 years 41m. He was a scoring 18 - 20ppg on the post Harden Rockets tankers. He got traded to the Mavs and did allright.

Then he joined Team LeBron last year on 'steal of the summer' Free Agent minimum. But unfortunate injuries have prevented Christian from showcasing his Lakers championship skill level.

What if they trade 5 second rounders to us for a Toradol junkie? Can we talk shit then?

another round of blame the Wizards for signing Valancuinas.

basketball can't start soon enough. The podcasters are recapping the most annoying topics of the summer.

Shams mega tweet of the summer, possible Breaking News. The Lakers might sign former Raptors rookie Center Christian Koloko. He averaged 3 & 3 in his inaugural season.

he had a respiratory scare and a blood clot issues last year. His rookie contract was waived. He recovered with corrective surgery. I wish the best for the young man, and glad he's healthy enough to return to the NBA.

other teams interested are the Clippers, Spurs, or re-sign with Toronto

Why are their daily Laker updates in a Laker thread on a BLAZERS forum? We have a monthly around the league thread for a reason.

this is a Lakers Dumpster Fire thread, not daily Lakers updates. The GM in LA built a team of oft-injured players, which creates a lack of depth scenario. It's why the Lakers fizzled out last season, and were quickly dispersed from the playoffs.

The Lakers GM rebooted the same sequence, while the owner is running around telling everyone about her championship Lakers team. Meanwhile we get word that the GM is supposedly scrambling at the last second to find impactful role players.

"NBA" fans received "Breaking News" from the media last night. I posted my interpretation above. It was a tweet from Shams that Pelinka added his signature to the return of Cristian Koloko.

Like many many "NBA" headlines this offseason, Lakers stickers were attached to every good player on the market.

---> If the Lakers land Koloko, and he helps Los Angeles win games, good for them.

If "Koloko's return" was simply an advertising stunt by Los Angeles media.. it can be interpretated as fuel for the Dumpster Fire.

this Blazers/Lakers rivalry goes back almost 50 years.

We, as Blazer fans, reserve unequivocal rights to talk smack about the Lakers.

right now, Blazer fans have the luxury to lose games proudly, because it helps the lottery pick.

right now, Laker fans have no draft picks, and losing games offers a sanctuary of comedy.

Blazers fans get to laugh at Los Angeles fans screaming at their current management if their season fails.

Why can we laugh?? Because Blazer fans recently went through a similar situation for a decade, as GM Olshey added a cascading waterfall of overpriced talent to a Blazer squad that was consistently First Round playoff fodder.

Blazer fans can actually relate to Lakers fans. I'm sure folks in LA did plenty of smack talking about the Blazers, as Lillard & Co. torched their squad multiple times while the Lakers were "rebuilding", before they added Davis & James.

did you know: Allen Crabbe became the 31st highest paid player in the NBA while Olshey was GM ??

we've seen what bad management can do to a Franchise. We see it in LA, and fans in LA see it too. This thread is a culmination of Blazers fans bonding with Laker fans. Both teams seem to be heading for rough waters.

If there's only one Laker fan (HCP) fighting off all criticism, the best way to resolve the dispute is watching the Lakers vs. Blazers.

if Billups rebuilders knocks out Redicks super champs..... this thread 100% gets to light up like Christmas

Let me explain this so that HCP can figure out the thread. My garbage is picked up every Friday.

Actually I have 2 garbagemen. So there's always a job for you somewhere. One gets my recycle bins. I call them milk crates because I remember the milkman, when most people couldn't afford an electric refrigerator, the ones who had electricity. They left a note on the porch as to how many quarts they wanted. I lived one summer in 1964 in Canada on a lake with an old ice box, made of wood, which had a block of ice under it on a shelf. When the block got small after a few days, the ice man delivered with tongs. But I digress.

So the other garbageman gets my green plastic dumpster. Nowadays they have wheels. Before that they were made of dented metal, and we played them like drums till our parents got mad. 30 years ago I had to carry it out, full of dirty reusable diapers I had packed in. But that stinky little tyke no longer lives with me. Anyway, I hope I explained what a dumpster is. It's almost a government job so you should look into it. We need Laker news every Friday at 7 am.

I (and we) am/are allowed to talk shit about the Lakers in perpetuity because as a true lifetime Blazer fan, it is in your DNA to hate the Lakers with every fiber of your being. I wish them to go 0-82 every fucking season until they disband from embarrassment and financial ruin. And you, "HCP", of all people and posters, as an OG Blazer fan from "NEP" like me, should feel the same way. You fucking live the DREAM of every childhood Blazer fan, you WORK/WORKED for the damn team. How you can say that reveling in the misery of your team's sworn enemy is somehow bad is beyond me. I'm glad that my original post has become the defacto "LAKER HATE/RIDICULE" thread, and hope it goes on for as long as this message board exists.

Go Blazers, and Fuck the Lakers
