Played for the Portland Pirates and the Portland Thorns. All time goals leader in international competition, any gender. Statue-worthy
Sinclair never really had great national success for Canada… Because she had to go up against the machine which is the USWNT. Great player.
Sinclair is absolute soccer royalty. She may be Canadian but her Portland roots are almost as deep as any native. Her uncles, Bruce and Brian Gant were both Portland Timbers back in the old NASL days (and at least Brian is still a HS soccer coach in the area). Sinclair was a part of those great U of P women's soccer teams coached by Clive Charles. She's also been the heart of the Thorns since she joined the team. Great athlete, great competitor, great person and one of the best representatives a city could have. Hopefully she gets a statue in front of the stadium, sooner rather than later. Too bad she couldn't play forever......
Always knew this day was coming. U of P churned out a TON of top notch soccer talent over the years. MacMillan, Tiffeny Milbret, Megan Rapinoe, Christine Sinclair just to name 4.
I used to deliver packages to Tiffany Milbrett’s house FWIW. Nice gal who ordered Nike gear on the regular.
Broadleaf Dr off Lancaster rd Crystal Dunn and her weird husband lived for years off of dolph dr in SW
I was also just kidding I know exactly who Christine Sinclair. Im a sports nerd almost to my detriment. Even sports I don’t even like
Yes it does. She has had an amazing career. Getting to meet and interact with her a couple times with my daughter, she’s a great person as well. Wishing her the best.
No sir. She was a special assistant for the pilots. Then about 3 years ago took over my daughter’s club as director of coaching. Very cool, she was very helpful with her college recruiting process. Much love for Milbrett.
