No, it certainly wasn't better for everyone. It was better for far fewer. Nearly everyone can get blazer vision for cheaper than they could get Root.

It will be far better for everyone in January.

Ok. I guess the first two months don’t really count anyway

They count. And luckily far more people can watch it now than with root. I've been able to watch everything with YouTube TV and the NBA app.

It's now available to far more people, and for far less. I don't understand how that could be a bad thing.

*Edit* Once again, I'm sorry you don't like it. But you have options and can almost certainly watch if you want. Without changing your Internet or cable provider.

Yes, it may cost you $10 a month for a couple months (NBA league pass monthly) until things shake out. But that's a pittance compared to what we had to do the last several years and many people didn't even have the option to watch at all.

    This is a significant improvement.

You should have received an E-mail titled "Your Complimentary BlazerVision Subscription" with instructions.
If you didn't, contact your season-ticket account person.

Correct. Blazervision is separate from LP due to blackout restrictions.
Either you pay for Blazervision individually, or find a VPN where you can route the feed through Denver/Chicago (or any out of market city) so you can bypass the blackout.

I had Xfinity, watched all Blazer games. Then I got sick of paying $250/mo so I moved to YouTubeTV. Then realized shit, cant watch the Mariners. Switched back to Xfinity. Then the Pac 12 dissolved and I wanted to watch the Ducks and moved over to YouTubeTV so I could watch the first game of the season (I already forget what happened but I think the Big10 Network was blacked out that game or something on Xfinity and I was pissed again at Xfinity). So now I am YouTube TV and its fine, and cheap. But I cant imagine paying even a dollar to add Blazervision for this cluster they created. I dont love the team that much. Mostly just curious about the young guys like Clingan.

I totally get that. And starting in January you'll get all the blazer OTA stuff for the price you're already paying.

If you did care enough you could pay an extra $10 a month and get Blazer games now.

I understand being frustrated at all the options. But that's just the new thing. People want a lot of options. It's just finding the option that works best for you.

I don't mean to sound like I'm dismissing you or your concerns, I just want to make it clear that what we have now is infinitely better than what we had the last few years (really, pretty much ever). And it's only going to get better in a couple months. You'll be able to have your cake and eat it, too.

Has anyone found extra content on Blazervision that is worthwhile, like pregame/postgame or such?

I have league pass and plan to setup a Tablo when I'm in Portland next week, just wondering if there is any additional benefit to Blazervision?

Just throwing it out there. Channel 302 is covered in my basic Xfinity package and it is HD now. The picture is good. I do not know if that will stay that way after Jan 1st 2025.

So you have Dish or Direct it sounds like. Didn't you have like 10 years that you didn't get any games with Comcast Sportsnet NW? Now you have options of Blazervision, OTA, and it sounds like Jan1 there will be more direct tv/satellite/etc options. So you have multiple options to watch today you didn't have previously, and possibly even more in a few months.

There was a huge group of fans that didn't have access to Root that now have access. So seems you are advocating for a small group of fans in your exact specific use case while ignoring fans in other situations as well as overlooking the other options you have.

This is clearly a great move the Blazers have done for fan experience. Now I agree with some complaints that the rollout wasn't very smooth and yes its a little confusing with the channels changing again on Jan1st. So maybe the rollout only gets a C or B grade.... However overall long term this is a clear A or A+ move by the Blazers after decades of horrible local TV options.

Good news for Fubo customers. I see the game tonight listed in the guide when you filter by SPORTS and then BASKETBALL.

YoutubeTV is super slick, lets you watch multiple sporting evens in side by side windows at the same time. Can have the world series and MNF and basketball all up on the screen at once then just move the cursor to the audio you want. Not sure what the restrictions are exactly as only certain events can share the screen but really cool when it does work.
