I’d never heard of him before those two conversations. I love tall PGs

All this talk about Demin, Edgecombe, and Harper…Ace Bailey could very well still be there at #5 in June.

    Good Lord.

Let's see if we can get the 11th pick.

If our pick is in the 5-10 range, it's Asa Newell for me.

I think Flagg's defense is the only thing that seperates the two.

His skills are ridiculous for his size. Definitely NBA level point guard abilities at 6'9".

This draft is very deep. 1-10 you have a chance at star type talent

I suppose the silver lining of losing a game like Portland did against the Rockets is that you can see what Portland needs - offense to take pressure off Sharpe & basketball IQ in general.

And the good news is that the current Top 4 prospects in the 2025 Draft are all players with high IQs and offensive tools that could make them reliable, versatile scorers. They also play defense or have the tools to be a solid defender.

Now, it seems Flagg might be less of a scorer and more akin to healthy Ben Simmons/Scottie Pippen but that's not bad on a versatile team like Portland might be. Likewise, Demin appears to be akin to Lamar Odom except with Luka's smooth playmaking and handling.

It'd be real cool if the "bad juju" that forced Portland into the #7 twice reverses this time for another shot at the Top 3. Because Portland is similar to where the Rockets were in 2022/23 and what the Thunder were in 2021/22 that I think one All-Star in the draft and one solid free agent/trade could turn things around almost overnight.

Flagg can be a go to scorer. He’s just playing within a system as a 17 year old kid.

Being fully convinced that we won't get the top-5 pick we all want, I've resigned myself to looking at late-lottery prospects. Would any of y'all be interested in adding another Canadian or another Israeli to our stable of young wings?

And I see that Schmitz's good buddy Givony just tweeted about Saraf as well.

I’m watching Notre Dame/Rutgers right now and I always find it funny when players who are high lottery picks and anointed kings while in high school get schooled in college by a bunch of white boys who have the team concept down.

They usually figure it out. But guys like Anthony Edwards who couldn’t lead their team to the NCAA tournament.

I’m watching that with Rutgers. They lost to friggin Merrimack last game and now losing to Notre Dame.

    Humble pie.

Anthony Edward’s with the Wolves? They aren’t eating any kind of pie. You think they care if their team is losing college games. These dudes are rental cars for their programs for 6 months and will never be seen again. They are there to get theirs and bounce. Those little white guys will have a story to tell their grandkids….but trust me, these stars couldn’t care less if Norte Dame beats them. The scouts are simply going to report that the Rutgers guys are averaging close to 20/5/5 each and will move on to the next level in June.

I don’t know… great competitors generally don’t take losing easy. Whether it college or pro.
