Throw the fucking book at them....They are poisoning our young people and it's one of the big factors in huge homelessness. Oregon woman sentenced for laundering more than $3.5M in drug money through beauty salon, her bank account
I like this. I love that somebody is stepping up to get these small modular reactors going. I wish it didn't have to be giant company like Amazon. I wish the government was doing it on its own. But if it'll get the ball rolling then I'm all for it.
Hope pigs dont fly! 21m Backyard pig in central Oregon contracts bird flu, first known transmission to pig in U.S.
This is a travesty! https://www.oregonlive.com/health/2024/12/oregon-overdose-deaths-grew-33-in-2023-health-data-shows.html
That's what happens with fentanyl. The states around us all saw increases as well. Oregon still has much lower overdose rates than states with very strict drug laws like Florida, Ohio and Tennessee. Because fentanyl hit those states first.
Is the fentanyl crisis naturally occurring or is this another “cops putting drugs on the streets to justify a bigger budget so they can clean up drugs off the streets” thing like the last three drug epidemics?
US city tells residents to stop sticking googly eyes on its statues The Oregon city of Bend has spent $1,500 (£1,188) on removing googly eyes from seven of the eight sculptures impacted. The comedy eyes have appeared on statues and murals around the city of Bend, Oregon, causing a viral sensation. "While the googly eyes placed on the various art pieces around town might give you a chuckle, it costs money to remove them with care to not damage the art," the city said in posts on social media. "It would cost $0 to leave them on," replied one Facebook user, while another praised the artworks' additions. "My daughter and I went past the flaming chicken today and shared the biggest laugh," she said, using a nickname for the "Phoenix Rising" sculpture. "We love the googly eyes. This town is getting to be so stuffy. Let's have fun!" Another Facebook user wrote: "I think the googly eyes on the deer specifically are a great look, and they should stay that way." Others said the city should focus on addressing more important issues, such as homelessness, instead of spending time and money on removing the googly eyes. Bend's sculptures frequently get adorned with seasonal decorations like Santa hats and wreaths which the council does not remove. https://news.sky.com/story/us-city-...-sticking-googly-eyes-on-its-statues-13273478
