Why is SGA leading Jokic in the MVP race? on the betting odds

Maybe because Jokic will likely taper off at the end of the regular season as he seems to not care while SGA will push for the award

I would foolishly assume that it's because he's leading the league in scoring while leading his team to the top seed in the conference (and potentially the best record in the league). I know, Jokic is on the 2 seed in the west while being 3rd in scoring, 3rd in rebounds, 2nd in assists, and 1st in most advanced metrics. And I agree, I'd vote for Jokic too. But SGA is also 2nd in all those advanced stats, and the things he's leading in are generally seen as the most important.

SGA is leading the NBA in scoring at the same time he's leading his team to perhaps the best record in the NBA and a 10 game lead over Jokic's team

A lot of people usually just vote for best player on best team.

I asked it before and I’ll ask you again. Would you trade our roster for Philadelphia’s? I wouldn’t. And many people had them as a top contender to win it all this year. The Process has been a complete failure.

This is a good question. Maxey is better than anybody on our roster but I’ll take the rest of the blazers over there’s

Because our team is bad and there's, if they weren't injured at the beginning of the year and fell into a massive hole, is so much better.

I'm not moving off of my opinion, but you tried. Our team is worse today, easily. We have simons and grant and until we don't we will be an inferior team to most.

I got a random email today from a former Blazer who I absolutely loved watching play back in the day. Mid 90s….flashy point guard….lefty. Whoever can guess gets a ticket to the Wizards game Wednesday night on @THE HCP .

So you’d rather have an oft-injured roster that is 5.5 games behind US in the standings? I don’t understand that. Even when healthy, they Sixers haven’t been out of the second round 2001. The Process failed. You think they’ll magically be better next year?

The Sixers are 8-11 when Embiid plays this year.

There are 2 options here. But if i fly from here the night would be a bit expensive for THE HCP. I pass as would the guy

And still better than our team.

It's okay, you've won some before. I got this one!

Does anybody here agree with Strenuus? We got into a big hole early too and we’ve still rallied to be 5.5 games ahead of the Sixers.

Maxey is far better than any player we have and McCain might be as well. Their contracts of PG13 and Embiid will be a drag on that team for a few years though.

If I could also trade Cronin/Bert/Jody for their management and ownership the answer is an easy yes.
