This isn't a boycott for me. I left the other site because it was no longer fun for me. The other site isn't the only option on the internet. This is a valid site. I like it here. Anyone who wants to post at both sites can do so. That's a valid choice, so I'm not sure what the problem is or exactly what you want us to do, Zach.

Dale, all I'm saying is the things you and others say caused TheRedZone to be "no longer fun" have been taken care of. You often reference your Christianity ... so you should be able to forgive.

I commend you for having the guts to "Wildcat", but you won! It's time to put down the picket signs and go back and hold your head up.

I was never really mad at Don like I was with the bopsy twins. I was upset and a little hurt by the way he handled things. I made a decision to leave the other site because I wasn't having fun anymore. It wasn't a boycott. At that point, I wasn't looking for change anymore. I was looking for someplace else. I came here with everyone else, after Dawk found it, and I really like it here. I like some of the freedoms that the Code of Conduct won't allow on the Redzone. I want to be able to speak freely in regards to how I feel about NFL teams and players and the other site is kind of restrictive about that. I want to have good natured ribbing with the Pats fans and the other site is kind of restrictive about that too. I'm not boycotting the other site so much as I like it here better. Perhaps I will register and post some there in the future, but I'm content here for now. No one is saying that people can't post at both places. Do you feel that people have to make a choice between one place or the other? Why can't people just post where they want to post? Here, there or both?

I honest felt like paul brown and jett were the same person
with nothing to do. But switch names on his internet and support
    himself lol.

I agree with DD, this is not a boycott. I don't care who posts on this site and / or that site. It's no big deal. As a moderator here and because of my involvement overall, I felt I needed to respond to R1fan. As for the overall deal, I'm ready to drop this and just post football. So little of the season left.... enough time is spent on this crap.

TheRedZone was the first and only Message Board that I had ever posted on. This is the 2nd. I would NEVER say anyone had to chose one or the other. I'm posting on both and I just would like to see more of you do the same. I'm not ordering or demanding anything. Like I said earlier the things that caused the site to be "No Fun" for so many have been corrected. Did it take to long? Obviously it did for some, but I think it takes a "Bigger Man" to forgive.

Props to Dawk-Vader .. he may be the person with the most reasons to hold a grudge, plus he found this site! This kid is now posting on both sites. Good for him!

I like this site myself and I do think the Code of Conduct is a overboard in TheRedZone in my humble opinion. So I'll always come here when I want to be "Crass and Sarcastic"! LOL [IMG]

I must say I do think it's childish to block "TheInsideTheTwenty" and default to "the other forum" when the F-Bomb is allowed. It seems to go against everything we were told this site was
    that "theInsideTheTwenty" wasn't.

Who did it? And is it suposed to be a joke?

No Zack, it's not a joke. It's a legal issue with the Webmaster here. I'm not really sure of the implications, but he asked me to help keep the name of the other site off of this forum. Besides, it's like advirtising the site when it's discussed so much so I can completely understand why it's supposed to be kept off. You don't hear TV characters on FOX talking about NBC in their shows do you?

It's just seems foolish to me because we all know who we're talking about and we're the only ones that post for the most part. As for a legal issue ... that would have to be VikingLaw. Advertising? That may be the best reason, but like I said almost everyone here is here because of TheRedZone, so that really doesn't hold water either.

Whatever ... thanks for the answer SF.

I'm sorry that wasn't what you're looking for Zack. I wish I had a clearer answer for you. I don't really see what the big deal is though. So we don't call it by its name. Not the end of the world. I will talk to Mark and get you a more clear answer if you'd like. Or maybe he'll see this thread and answer it himself.

The reason that the name has been censored out is to protect the other forum from negative posts. Sure, everyone here knows what you are talking about, but we have new visitors as well. New visitors who read this post and other posts about the other forum could easily get a very negative image of the place.

It is not the position nor the place of NFL Forums to provide negative content on what could be considered a competiting forum. We will continue to edit out the name of the other forum to protect their image.

As far as the advertising is concerned, that is a lesser issue. As you know, we do not allow advertising of sites here, but we do not ban people from posting urls of other sites if it is within the context of a conversation.

With that said, I believe the issues of the other forum have been hashed and rehashed. Continuing to discuss the issue will not help anyone involved. I vote that we move back to discussing football...playoffs...coach firings...free agents....the NFL!

If you have any specific questions about this Zack, you know my e-mail address and are ALWAYS welcome to e-mail me personally.

    Thanks for re-explanation.

I hope that clears up the issue Zack.

Good answer Mr. Administrator, you may want to consider a political career in the future [IMG] ... I just thought it should be brought to light. Of course I'm the minority on a lot of these issues. I'm starting to feel like I'm being beaten down by "The Man"! LOL

It's good to be back. After returning from vacation on Sunday, I had plenty to catch up on in here. Complaints about the software or pictures used at the top of the page seem so petty and I'm glad to see that these issues with the other forum are finally being put to rest. NFL Forums is a great "place to talk football". Anything beyond that can be gotten by simply making a bookmark in one's browser and opening up a new window. Who doesn't already do that anyway?

You guys didn't miss much. Everything seems to be in order now anyway. Things have a tendency of working themselves out.
