Many of you may have heard this before, but I thought I'd post it anyways (and no it's not the retarded "missing" dollar riddle), especially if you ever watched yu-gi-oh and saw the episode with the paradox brothers. The Paradox Many years of searching has led you to all the answers of life, and a tropical paradise without sin or suffering. The only problem is, the search has led you to two doors, guarded by twin brothers. The brothers together say "We are the paradox brothers who guard the holy paths. One of these doors leads to paradise; the other leads to certain death. You may ask one of us one question to determine the correct path; but from this point on one of us will always tell the truth while the other will tell only lies." What question should you ask?
This is a bit freaky, a scene involving the above is on the film Labyrinth, which I literally just bought from ASDA about twenty minutes ago. I'll be back when I have watched it because the girl in it solves it Really freaky shit man. Ok, EDIT. The full Wiki lowdown Highlight the following to read! <font color=""White"">In the movie Labyrinth starring Jennifer Connelly and David Bowie, Sarah (Connelly) comes to a set of double doors located somewhere within the Labyrinth. In front of the doors are shields. These shields have heads and feet sticking out of the tops and bottom of them. The door sentries Ralph, Alph, Jim and Tim, instruct Sarah that she must choose one of the doors to continue through the maze. The exact dialogue and the liar?s paradox example are presented here, as well as Sarah?s solution: SARAH: What am I supposed to do? JIM: Try one of these doors. TIM: One of them leads to the castle. And the other one leads to? RALPH: BA BA BA BUM! TIM: CERTAIN DEATH! GUARDS: Ooh! Ooh! SARAH: Which one is which? JIM: We can?t tell you. SARAH: Why not? JIM: UH... I, UH... We don?t know. TIM: But they do. SARAH: Oh. Then I?ll ask them. ALPH: Uh... You can only ask one of us. RALPH: It?s in the rules. One of us always tells the truth, and one of us always lies. He always lies! ALPH: I do not! I tell the truth! RALPH: Oh, what a lie! TIM: Ha ha ha! ALPH: He?s the liar! SARAH: All right, answer yes or no. Would he tell me, that this door leads to the castle? ALPH: Uh... What do you think? (consulting in whisper with his lower half) Really? (to his lower half) YES. (to Sarah) SARAH: Then the other door leads to the castle, and this door leads to certain death. ALPH: He could be telling the truth. SARAH: But then you wouldn?t be, so if you said he said yes, then the answer is no. ALPH: But, I could be telling the truth. SARAH: Then he?d be lying. And the answer would still be NO! ALPH: Is that right? RALPH: I don?t know. I?ve never understood it!
thats hard coz the guy who told you that sentance might be lying. but if the guy who told you that wasnt lying id just ask him what colour shirt or jumper or some peice of clothing im wearing is, if he tells me the right colour then hes telling the truth
This is confusing, freaky stuff. I would ask both of them what each others name is then i would them what their name is.
I read what the answer was The only thing I could think of is you ask one if the other guy is his brother then you could tell which one is lying but you wouldn't know which door to open still

Wolf2k7 Wrote

incandecio, You can only ask one question... Still, Confusing...
yea you ask one of them what colour say a jumper is, says its red and the guy doesnt say red hes lying, but if the guy says it is red then hes telling the truth. thats only one question to one guy edit: i get what you mean now, i thought each brother was standing at a door and the liar represented the wrong door and the truth teller was the right door. i know the answer thanks to louis pointing me to a website
I would ask for both doors to be opened.. have a peak in each one and see what one was Paradise (Celtic Park) and go there of course..
