Starting 5 for 03-04. Very Debatable Wow as the season approaches for the first season of King James, everyone is debating of the starters for Cleveland. LeBron at the point. Dajuan at the SG. But Dajaun too short. LeBron should be 3. Dajuan should stick at PG. Theres so much to ask and find out. Here's my prediction for the Starting 5. 1. Wagner (Too short and not enough shooting skills for SG) 2. LeBron (Great passer but should just be the SG to make things simple) 3. Ricky Davis (no comment) 4. Boozer (no comment) 5. Ilgauskis (no comment) What do you guys think? I just cant make up my mind!
Silas does not like Wagner's game. Wagner is actually 3rd on the depth chart for PG's behind Lebron & Ollie. The Cleveland Cavs starters will be: PG - Lebron James SG - Ricky Davis SF - Darius Miles PF - Carlos Boozer C- Z
PG - Lebron James/Ollie/Bremer SG - Ricky Davis/Wagner SF - Darius Miles/Newble PF - Carlos Boozer/Mihm C- Z/Diop/Mihm
Wow, never really liked Darius game since he left LA. Thought he was a nobody without Q by his side. Personally, I think he brought nothing to Cleveland. I dont see why Silas could like Darius' game any more than Dajuan's, in my opinion.
Darius Miles was injured last season. He has had a tremendous off-season training regimine and has added a lot of strength and weight. Miles fits the similar type of long players Silas had with the Hornets. Miles and James have good team chemistry on and off the court, and he has been working hard on his mid-range jumper. Miles will be a lot better this season.

Yeah or u could just switch Ricky and Darius if u dont want the other starting, but I really think Wagner should be in. This talented player just wasnt on a talented team last year, but with LeBron on the roster, who knows what will go down next year.
PG - LeBron SG - Wagner SF - Ricky PF - Boozer C - Z have wagner and lebron play in the backcourt. the general idea is to have Lebron play the point (since wagner is better off the ball) but let Wagner defend the opposing point guard. that makes sense bcuz lebron might be a bit slow at the point for defense. wagner doesnt want to be a playmaker so it would be like a Iverson-Snow combo. Miles would be good off the bench where he can get into the game and excell against other bench players. his shot is not good enough to make him start.
Im surprised they dont use Ricky and Lebron equally at the 2 and 3. they can both play both positions. as for PG im surprised silas doesnt like dujauns game. he brings the kind of intensity and good attitude that silas was reknowned for as a celtic. Im surprised everyones so quick to just throw JR Bremer in the dump. If he gets playing time he's gonna be a scoring machine. he was very dependable for the celtics in the second half and was one of the leaders in the summer league. people dont want to admit he has skills. I sau let him ollie and wagner fight it out for the pg job and trade one of them. theyre all too young and too good not to start or get significant playing time SOMEWHERE
PG - Dajuan Wagner SG - Lebron James SF - Ricky Davis PF - Carlos Boozer C - Zydrunas Illgauskas ..in need of a power forward, generally one who can get a double double on a consistent basis.. with some veteran leadership IMO.
PG-Ollie,Wagner,Bremer SG-Davis,Wagner,Kapono SF-James(pointFD),Miles,Newble PF-Booz,Mihm,Yogi C-IllZ,Mihm,Diop

This is what I have been telling people for weeks. I'm excited about this team, I will keep close eyes on Miles and Wagner though, I'm not too worried about anyone else.
