Brent Barry and Ray Allen only 34. Especially Brent, he doesn't dunk much anymore, but he did jump the farthest from the freethrow line. I thought he would have at least a 39 like Rex Chapman. I also didn't think Deshawn could jump that high either. I knew he could get up, but not like that.
i want to know what Hook Mitchell's vert was in his prime, musta been like 55 or something huge like that.
If vince carter dunk over a 7 footer at only 42' at his prime. Then Kedrick would have no problem floating over shaq. A.I with 42' thats outlandish.
A.I use to dunk alot in his 1st 2 years. He's probaly only 5-10&1/2. But it most likely dropped off quite a bit. And as for Vince, I read a article about him on the nba.com. They said he had a 41. Which I always believed after seeing his HS dunk contest. The closest his head was about a inch below. So he's listed at 6'6, has his head a inch below, the highest he got in the nba DC, was a 37, even when he stuck his elbow in the rim, so that's about right. 40 inches is very high, considering how long his legs are, 41 to 42 is high enough to jump over 7'2. His head wasn't leveled with the rim on that dunk either. It was close, but it wasn't quite there.
ok, why is vince listed at 6 based on his prime vert of 42, but finley is not? and didn't we have a thread like this recently?
I'm pretty sure Steve Francis has the highest vertical. There is another list floating around that I've seen that is a lot more sensical in my view. I think Kedrick is close to 40". Robert Horry in the top 50? TJ Ford? Bonzi Wells? Some of these seem a little unreasonable...
There's quite a few people on this forum who seen how high Kedrick can really dunk, but he doesn't play alot and may not be a creative dunker. I think it may be a tie between J-Rich and Kedrick for tops. This is why I wish they had the jumping meter back, so it would be alot easier to round these jumps up.
Really huh? Guess they didn't record his yet maybe. My gut instinct says he's probaly around 37. And Mcdyess should be notorious with the 42 inch leap as well. Though I feel more like he had a 38.
30 standing, j-rich is not 6-2 hes like 6-5 i'm pretty sure, i'll go check, he's listed as 6'6". http://www.nba.com/playerfile/jason_richar...x.html?nav=page

But warriorsfan will tell u he's 6-2 tops. Surprised he hasn't posted on this thread yet. I think he's 6'4, but his telling me and everyone else he met him in person and is trying to get proof, because warriorsfan is 6'3 and 1 half legitdamentally. And said that he's about 2 inches taller. He told a whole bunch of us so far. Sorry warriorsfan, I still don't think he's that short. I mean I definitely don't think Steve Francis is 6'3, but I don't think he's under 6 feet either. J-Rich still looks taller then anyone in the history of heights in this league listed at 6'3. For some reason J-Rich looked 6'6 compared to Cheryll Miller who was suppose to be 6'3, and she was quite a bit taller then Steve Nash who's listed at 6'3, and you can definitely tell he's not that tall. Man, I wish they would tell players real heights, cause it's driving me crazy. But maybe you're right about him only being that tall, I seen the guy Erin Galloway who played for Hawaii with sick hops listed at 6'8. Then seen him in a local gym, and wasn't sure it was him until somebody told me it was him. He only looked like he was 6-5. Oh well.

Yeah, Horry dunked on Oakley in every game against the Knicks in the 94 finals. As for Kedrick, 45 STANDING. Wow so that means he can hit 50+. He should work on his dunks, so he can be in one, and finally be noticed to the majority. I don't no anyone else I know personally, has even heard of him.

Speedy Claxton is the man.. Notice how speed must play a huge factor cuz AI and Speedy are so high. I thought jefferson would be higher that's forsure. Geez Kedrick needs to get Vince to teach him how to dunk, and then he'd be a legend. Hey if Kedrick can do 45' standing, does that mean that he can jump over Yao crouching down?
