2 overtimes + 54 minutes for Kobe + a wonky knee + travel + 19 hours between games - Shaq = BLOWOUT? Predictions for tonights game between the Lakers and the Jazz?
Kobe's scoring spree How about how many points Kobe will get tonight? I think he'll be held under 35 tonight.
im not even sure Kobe will play tonite... he was limping real badly last night...he couldnt even land on his right leg...if kobe and shaq both dont play obviously the lakers will lose... if kobe does play, hurt or not, they still have a chance...any team with at least one great player has a chance to compete in games...but i think tonight would be too much for his knee and i really don't wanna see Kobe push himself too much when he's injured...one bad loss to the Jazz won't hurt nearly as much as if Kobe aggravates his injury any further...they're gonna need both shaq and kobe down the playoff stretch and so they both need to do what they must to get healthy by the playoffs while still putting out enough to qualify... the jazz should win this game tho...but then again....the rockets shoulda won last nights game too...kobe got great all around performances from fisher, madsen, and horry last night...and samaki hung in with yao to the best of his ability...and YES francis had a horrible game i know this much...but taylor was playing out of his mind...and the officiating was really favoring yao for much of the game =T
I think the home teams usually get the calls. I'm sure Laker fans think their loss in Houston was due to the refs.
no really...i was there...yao was gettin a lot of garbage calls...he stiff armed samaki walker and and elbowed him in the head while hooking him on a spin and didnt get called for an offensive foul -.-v
what about that crucial call towards the end when kobe mowed over yao and they give the foul to HIM. or that bogus foul that got yao out of the game?
I agree, Yao got 2 BS foul calls that made him foul out. This was Yao's first foul out game of his NBA career by the way. By the way, about the game tonite, I think Jazz wins even if Kobe's playing hurt.. He looked like he was in alot of pain last night
I read this morning that Shaq is not traveling to Utah, so he's out. Kobe could get in done on his own, but I think they'd be smart to sit him a game.
that foul was not bogus people...he extended his arm and pushed off...madsen prolly did a lil bit of an acting job...either that or he's clumsy and just fell...but he EXTENDED THE ARM AND PUSHED OFF which is an offensive foul...and don't try to argue with me cuz 'you saw it on tv' it happened right in front of me...cuz i was sittin right behind the rockets bench so i had a better view then you did..thanks
maybe some big fat dude was in your way at that moment....lol........check the film....wasnt a great call...........
I think it was a makeup call for the previous play. Yao was not only inside the dotted line, he was also moving when they called offensive foul on Kobe. The refs have been horrible at the end of a lot games this season, they are deciding the games with their whistles instead of letting the players play. As for tonight, I think the Lakers aren't going to have their legs and will get blown out by the Jazz. Shaq is out, and Kobe might be out as well. I hope the Lakers pull it out, but Utah is tough at home and their experienced team is going to take full advantage of a sore and tired Laker team.
I think the Lakers will lose but it will be somewhat close. I think Kobe will have 40 tonite even though he knee is wonky.
yah man...utah is tough ;( they make very few mistakes...and our well coached...it'll be a tough game without shaq whether kobe plays or not...kobe is prolly about 75%-80% by my best guess watching him last night...
at the half... Kobe is having a so so game...shooting the ball well...but 4 TO's in the first half...he's not happy bout that (he got a T) -.-v Malone is playin well...but Madsen is havin another nice game... Samaki is out for the game...thats going to hurt the Lakers in this game as well... Kirilenko is a very nice defender...i was impressed with the way he stuck on Kobe...had 3 blocks on Kobe in one possession...he's quick / long / athletic...but Kobe adjusts very quickly and was able to get his shots again soon after Kirilenko picked him up on D...all the same Kirilenko did a nice job... second half comin up...looks like it should be another good game..
